AJ, That was a great win over Purdue last night. Congratulations! What I was saying in my prior post was that I simply was very surprised that you could handle the Boilers. Tournament time always brings the challenges of winning a third go around. I am looking for a tough battle this evening.
Surprised at the Husker upset.....I feared the Boilers to be good for a surprise but rather expected a nail-biter with us, not a fall to the Huskers. Other than than, pretty much as expected......interesting games between IU and Ill and M and Wisky. Just want us to play well today.....expecting a game Husker squad fired up and ready for the challenge
IU had their way with the Illini.....got off to a great start and never looked back. They will play the winner of the Wisky/M game......perhaps Crean will have another shot at the M asst? Wisky/M next up....
Definitely a great win for your Huskers....I'm anxious to see how our kids respond today. I expect a closer game than many, but do believe at the end, the talent differential will be just too much for you guys to overcome.....anxious to see how our young center deals with the Husker man mountain in the middle.....he has got to be one of the biggest dudes I've ever seen. He is HUGE!
Wow.....M over Wisky 20-17 at the half. Hope nobody has the over in this game.....this is Wisky's pace, M better be careful here
Illini had a terrible first 20 minutes. They came back in the second half, but did not have enough steam to pull out a win!
Down goes M.....Wisky takes 'em down and prevents the long awaited rematch of Crean and the M asst. Buckeyes and Huskers up next....
Buckeyes open second half with a nice run to wrap up Nebraska. Thompson & Ross finally contribute Big Time!
Wow.....if those kids continue to play like that, we will be a tough out. Thompson has really stepped up his game and is on the verge of becoming a great, great player. Ross has a variety of weapons is his offensive toolkit, but remains a liability on the defensive end and still makes a number of questionable decisions with the ball, but man he has a sweet looking jumper and will be needed down to road to shoot over the top...... Amir Williams continues to disappoint.....expected more from him by this point. Pivot play is our missing link...... Sparty next up....always a war and "big boy pads" are obligatory for this one.....
Wisconsin definitely caused some match up problems for the Hoosiers to reach the finals tomorrow. MSU and Buckeyes up next!
Ohio State nips MSU 61-58 to advance to the tournament final against Wisconsin. Aaron Craft had a sensational 2nd half to seal the victory.
