Damn, this got pretty ugly when Canada dropped a bunt with a 9-3 lead... http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/21841994/video-canada-mexico-brawl-in-world-baseball-classic
Apparently, margin of victory counts in this format. That one Canadian pitcher, Johnson from the Oriels(?) took out more Mexicans than Bowie at the Alamo. He can throw down!
Don't start a fight with a team representing a country whose national sport is hockey. My guess is after the brawl, the Canadian players were wondering why nobody received a 5 minute major for fighting and a 10 minute misconduct.
When I first heard of what happened, and before I'd seen the clips I had 2 thoughts: 1. Good for the Mexicans for showing some heart and not taking that lying down. 2. Man, they picked possibly no worse than the 2nd worst team in the world to drop haymakers with, I had to see the video to see just how bad the Canadians kicked their ass... and kick it they did. After watching the clip, in which a fan threw a water bottle and hit the Canadian pitching coach in the face with a water bottle only to see said water bottle picked up and fired back into the crowd, I thought... 'seriously, has no one in Mexico ever seen hockey?' If you don't think that guy won't wade through 25 rows of fans to beat you like the pinata you are, you're mistaken.
