When Stewart won on Saturday, I made the mental note to myself to dump all my starters and go with my backups. I forgot to do that. Turns out my backups put on a show, winning and top 10 finishes etc etc.. my starters tanked.. Ugh.
Daytona and Talledega are always a crap shoot. No matter how wise your picks the "Big One" can collect anybody. Also the Daytona 500 is the first test of the equipment's endurance. I lost one driver (Harvick) to the big wreck and one (Kyle) to the blown car.
I hate how yahoo makes u change roster like 3 days early. After Daytona Edwards got knocked out early and said he will win next week And then i missed the deadline this week to add him to my roster.
After week two, quite a few large changes in the standings. The amazing part is that nobody in the top five last week were in the top five this week. Even more amazing is that neither of the Ryckman entries have been in the top 5 either week and one of them is ahead of five teams that have been in the top 5 for one week. Indy Racer wins week two. Top positive movers: Indy Racer up 8 spots to 2nd Lots More Stagger up 5 spots to 4th This thing of ours up 3 spots to 5th Top negative movers: ND Fan77 down 7 spots to 8th PJMIII down 5 spots to 10th Foxchase down 2 spots to 6th Boondock Muskies down 2 spots to 13th Throughout the Spring segment, the segment positions and the overall are the same. Chris (Boondock) checked in too late to change his 8 drivers...and much to his chagrin both of his C drivers from the previous week were not entered....therefore he had no C entry. I had Ryan Newman as a B driver...didn't see what happened but he went out very early. Gotta hope that kind of stuff doesn't happen to you very often...really puts you in a hole.
Just a strange week overall! The person in 1st place now, was second place last week and scored out of the top 5 this week... Scoring out of the top 5 and moving up into 1st place??? The stars have to be in perfect alignment...
friarsnh1 is a friend of mine from Fort Wayne. His name is Tom Glover. The nh is for New Haven,a suburb to the east of Ft. Wayne. He's a good guy and a worthy fantasy competitor in any sport.
Well, you tell Tom Glover that I want a 1:1 tutor session. Anyone that can go from 2nd to 1st with a 7th place weekly sclre is someone from whom I need to learn. 8)
Well I have managed to get my entry in both weeks so far. I have not made good choices for my A list players so far, but hope springs eternal. I have found out from Tom and Stu that there is a lot of information on this site about the drivers and the different tracks. Danica did hit the wall the second week. Fortunately she was not hurt and will be racing this weekend. Not sure she will have any pictures taken like that one right now though.
First deadline this week is 4am central on 8-March. This deadline is for selecting your 8 active racers. The next deadline will be 5 minutes before race time on 10-March. That deadline is to set which 4 drivers will be benched and which will be racing. Remember, you can bench a driver and still retain that driver's qualification bonus points. You will not receive any lap bonus points or final position points for benched drivers. If a driver usually qualities in the top 4 but never finishes well, you can keep him or her on your bench and suck up qualifying points all 36 races.
So qualifying was rained out and the field was set by last years finish in the standings. Do the top three starters still get the qualifying points?
Tom, I changed two drivers from bench to starting, saved the changes, and logged out. When I went back, the original lineup was there. I tried a few times, but the same thing happened. Why can't I make those changes?
