I only saw the last 8 or so minutes of the game and because of family conversations could not hear the play by play. Was Thomas only 4 for 16? Wow! You have to be very happy with the win.

He's been struggling of late.....obviously teams are going to be throwing alot of buddies at him given our lack of a meaningful second option, but he has also been pressing and missing alot of good looks as well.....nice to see somebody else step up, but this team needs Thomas to play well to have any chance at a deep run in post-season. Almost all of Craft's points were at the rim which is fine, but we really need another perimeter threat......we really have no post option offensively so the court gets stacked pretty heavily towards Thomas' side......need some balance

Hoosiers loses to Minnesota on the road. Maybe Sid was right in his statement about the season not being over just yet. Big upset for certain!

I told Crazy John before conference play started that 3 losses IMO would be good enough to win the B1G outright. That is now the case. I also said that 4 losses might win the conference but most likely as a tie. That also appears to be the case.

I would like to think that last night was IU's last regular season conference loss, but I'm not sure. They simply got out-physicaled. They were outrebounded at both ends and outscored in the paint. These two shortcomings will hurt them in the tournament. At this point, regardless of their seeding, I don't see tham as a final four team.

Another random thought....IMO, if Cody Zeller thinks he's ready for the NBA, he's sadly mistaken. He clearly is an outstanding college player on several levels, but he did not show up last night and has not been consistent. IMO, he needs more time to get stronger and to play tougher under the boards.

Looks pretty clear that we're gonna have to upset the Hoosiers in their building to earn a bye in the first round of the conference tourney. Tough duty for sure.....alot of big games in the conference down the stretch.

We did play Sparty at their place for the regular season crown last year and won....deja vu??? Not likely, different caliber team I fear....be good to be on a roll going into the post-season and beating Sparty was a good start.

Need to be on top of their game at NW to avoid a letdown....

No one seems to be safe in the conference this year, especially this week.

Anytime we win at Northwestern I am happy, last night was no exception!

Even Duke has lost four games this season.

Amen to that Don...anytime we win on the road anywhere, I'm happy! Ask M and IU!

Nice to see Smith come out of hibernation, although the bricked dunk effort was special!!!!

Wow! What a day! I'm not shocked at MI over MSU, but Purdue over Wisconsin? I'm a Purdue fan, and I didn't think they had a snowball's chance in.....in......Madison. I'm happy for Painter.

With Michigan's win over Sparty this afternoon, four teams are tied for the #2 spot in the B1G Ten race. Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Final two games will determine who is seeded where in the race and Big Ten tournament

Ohio State upsets the Hoosiers in Bloomington. I never thought we would win in Assembly Hall.

HUGE win by these kids. I didn't think this team was had the caliber of talent AND stones necessary to take it to a team the quality of the Hoosiers on their home court, senior day with the the undisputed title on the line. I was wrong.....a win at home over the Illini has got to lock up a first round bye. Since getting schooled at Wisky two weeks ago, Matta and staff have these playing as well as they can.....great to see Thompson be so aggressive at the offensive end of the floor last night. Good to be on a roll in March.....

Really the regular season is just about getting yourself ready to be on a roll in March. It's become like the NBA, it's great to be a high seed which rewards the regular season...but in the end it's the teams that are playing well at the end of the season even if they had some struggles along the way that do well in the tourney.

I really wish we'd give up the conference tourney's though, but they make too much money for the conferences to do that.
