    Revenge is sweet....etc...etc...blah...blah...********!

It never seems to play out that revenge is actually gained or is even a factor. I remember in the 1999 SECCG thinking Florida might just teach Bama a thing or two about that missed extra point in OT in October and all UF managed to do was show Bama how it could become the SEC Champion and then lose the Orange Bowl to Michigan a month later in almost the exact same fashion.

So....revenge factor aside....I think Meyer's Gators protect at home in a fairly ho hum low scoring affair. UF wins 27-17 but does not cover.

One thing I think I learned about Alabama from the Arkansas game is that they are out of luck if it's a close game and they need a kick to win!! :)

Is Alabama's defense up to last years?

Did that kid who got so severely injured in the game last year for Alabama back?

    Terry,
No Prothro is still out. As a matter of fact he is being redshirted this year.

As to the close games, I think Shula gets too worried about making a mistake, in his playcalling, when he gets in the redzone or as we saw last week, when it comes to OT. He called plays that he thought would not get him beat instead of calling plays that could win the game.
Obviously, I am worried about this weekend but I think we are close to being a good team. Florida is already a good team. Hope springs eternal.
By the way we ARE bringing our own officials. They have spent the last two weeks suspended in a net above a pit filled with fetid swamp water and alligators. They are all from Alabama so they already hated UF of course, but we just want to make sure that all of the calls go our way. So it's a win/win for the Gators. If they lose, it was because of the refs and if they win, they get to say they beat Alabama and the refs. :D

    Tom,
I don't think any assistance is required.

Maybe we can get the refs from the Kentucky game. I was thinking, 'Man, we should try to book these guys for the rest of the season!'. :D
