Not important for the champ, but interesting to look at for next year. I'm pleased to see the Ags made #5 in both AP and Coaches. AP: 1 Alabama (59) 2 Oregon 3 Ohio State 4 Notre Dame 5 Georgia 5 Texas A&M 7 Stanford 8 South Carolina 9 Florida 10 Florida State Coach's: 1 Alabama (56) 2 Oregon 3 Notre Dame 4 Georgia 5 Texas A&M 6 Stanford 7 South Carolina 8 Florida State 9 Clemson 10 Florida
Scott, Here we are less than 24 hours after the BCS game and we are looking forward to next year! Life is good!
Well 12-1 and a top 5 finish is much more than I anticipated at the start of the year. Just wish that 1 loss wasn't such a beat down!
Just now really taking a look at this.... No prob with the Aggies being where they are but I have a beef a little with FSU and SouCar being ranked over UF. Florida beat both soundly...... so it shows you you the bowls do matter even though some teams can't seem to get motivated and fall on their ass during bowl season. Hasn't happened to UF in a while till this year but I remember games in UF's bowl past..... 1991 vs. ND, 13-0 vs. Md. and a beat down by W. Va. come to mind.....where the Gators didn't care to show up and they had a big L to live with the rest of the offseason. Bowls are great for your team to get in to but losing them sucks and obviously it hurts the final ranking and also the preseason ranking as well.
True Bill.... Fla could start #25 or #5 and it doesn't matter much in the BCS title chase cause their schedule will get them to the top if they just keep winning...... or not if they lose.
The beautiful part is everyone, even the team that finished last in the FBS rankings, starts the season undefeated and hope springs eternal.
