ND certainly has it.... a double-digit dog hoping to join the other double digit dogs OSU (vs. Miami) and Oklahoma (vs. FSU) who won their BCS championship games. Bama is definitely in a position not to be as motivated.... having won 2 out of the last 3 BCS Championships. Can Saban get his team to be as motivated... hellbent on winning as I am sure ND will be? I think this game will boil down to that and if Saban can indeed get the Tide as motivated then hats off to him.
Prepping an alibi in advance? If Bama comes out unmotivated then Saban should be fired the next morning.
Not buying it. All of these guys on BOTH sides signed with their teams in the hopes of getting to this game. This ain't the Macaroni and Cheese bowl, this is the MNC game. Full stop. Whoever schemes the best, adjusts the best, and executes the best (along with getting a lucky bounce of that funny shaped ball) is going to win and the other team is going to hate life for 8 months.
George, I don't need a Gator preparing an alibi for the Tide. No excuses, like has been said motivation should not be a problem. Let's play!
Motivation will not be a problem for either team. That does not mean that one team couldn't be more on their game and play better than the other. But motivation, no problem. Like KP said let's play.
Well.... OU and OSU in those two games were fired up enough to pull the upsets. Bama last year avenged their defeat vs. LSU and LSU appeared pretty flat by comparison. I don't expect a Saban coached team not to be ready......but I expect ND to be crazy ready and breathing fire. Not prepping an alibi for Bama just propping up ND for a great fall.......
