Bruins are a step slow for a Big 12 high Octane offense.

Bruins got a break a Baylor fumble inside the 25 and a quick socre...maybe this won't be a run away after all. UCLA desperately needed that break.

42-13...Briles has pretty much gone to the Prevent Offense to run clock. I wish he would stick with the regular Baylor offense and not run the ball so much.

Another Baylor turnover...and quick UCLA score. 42-19.

Come on Briles get back to your regular offense!

UCLA gets late cheap TD 49-26. Could have been worse is Baylor had opened up the offense. I am shocked at how UCLA looked and played, I thought they would win tonight.s Baylors defense this year was non-existant for the most part, even a beat up UCLA OL should have had their way with them.

I like that Lake Seastrunk kid for Baylor, looks like a really good back.

Great win for Baylor. This game answered some questions. Baylor was a very improved team in the 2nd half of the year winning 5 of the last 6, including the last four in a row and three of the victories against ranked opponents. Without question, their greatest improvement was on defense. Once they got used to staying on the field all day, they did well. Tonight was a good example: the Bears only had 13 sacks all season, but got six in one game tonight, including five in the first half...

For the Bruins, it was a disaster with a familiar look to it. They start 14 freshmen and sometimes they look like freshmen. Cal beat them 43-17 in similar fashion and the Golden Bears only won three games all year.

The heart of the problem is the Oline. As I've posted before, the Bruins start three true frosh along the line, so that tells you that the Oline behind them probably aren't very good and you could see that tonight. With injuries along the whole line, the substitutes got pushed around. Oh well. This was a game of two teams headed in opposite directions as the Bruins lost their final three games...

I expect both of these teams to be pretty good next year. They have good coaches who're focused on building the program and they appear to be doing it.

    re: Seastrunk

Terry, you took a swipe at the 12Pac, but Seastrunk is at Baylor because he couldn't cut it at Oregon...

And they lost an unbelievable shoot out to West Virginia when WV was on a roll early in the season. I think Baylor would take them now

Goes to show you how deep Oregon is at RB if a guy like Seastrunk can't make it out there....big win for Baylor, the kid should be great next year.

Next up a Longhorn team in complete meltdown/disarray vs a 13th ranked Oregon State. I hope the Longhorns learned to tackle during the bowl workouts. Mack Brown under a lot of fire by Texas fans with a lot of people wishing he would retire after the game.

I looked up Seastrunk's stats. He broke forth in his last 6 games vs. teams like Kansas State, Oklahoma, Ok State, UCLA, etc., averaging 8 yards per carry and 138 yards per game. The kid is a legit solid RB.

my question about UCLA football (granted I was sick and missed most of this game) is.. how long will we have freshman OLineman? It was something that plagued us under Slick Rick, Mora inherited it... but where are these guys going?

    Help is on the way......maybe.

Slick Rick's Olinemen were so bad, that Mora was able to recruit three frosh in the final month of recruiting who beat them out. Now that he's had an entire year to recruit instead of one month, he's already warned the returning starters that he's recruited several of the top Olinemen in the country and their jobs are up for grabs...

There is one problem, however, it's rumored that the San Diego Chargers will offer their HC position to Mora this weekend when they fire Turner. If that happens, then all bets are off in Westwood...

Mora might leave for the NFL? Hasn't he had enough of that? I read that the Penn State coach is going to get some offers as well, I could almost understand him leaving as when he took the job he was assured that there would be no NCAA sanctions that it was strictly a criminal matter.

There are seven head coaching jobs open in the NFL and the names that are being mentioned most often from the 12Pac are Chip Kelly, David Shaw and Jim Mora. I certainly hope that Mora stays on the college level, because he's both good and honest...
