Purdue list is quiet. I read it on bleacher report.

Good choice IMO. It will be interesting to see if he accepts.

He did well at CMU and UC, not quite as good as Kelly but still had good solid teams.

    It's always a crap shoot.

Chuck Martin in the mix, surprising. As the article notes he's not exactly produced a basketball on grass offense for the Irish. But a lot of people think that Martin really wants to be a HC again. He was pretty good at GVSU.

Mangino, strictly from a coaching standpoint, is a far better bet than Butch Jones. The fact that he pulled out of the Colorado discussions makes me think that he believes there may be a better opening if he waits.

Given how the Colorado programed has cratered and the financial mess its AD department is in, Purdue would be a better choice from him.

Purdue might need to hire an anger management consultant on the FB staff to keep him at an even keel but he certainly turned the Kansas program around.

Interesting the Hazell from Kent St. gets some interest but no one mentiones Dave Doeren who's doing a great job at NIU.

Jones reportedly turned down Purdue, still considering Colorado which I can't imagine why..that place is a disaster and will be very hard to restore to where they were when Gary Barnett had them doing well.

Yeah it's all over the Purdue List...

I think Hazell is moving up the list. I liked him from the get-go.

Personally I think Hazell would be great for Purdue and vice versa! The Purdue job has to be better than Cincinnati in my humble opinion.

I think Cincinnati has more potential for wining 9 or 10 games than Purdue because they are in a lesser conference. But they have a small stadium, small fan base, poorer facilities, and while I doubt if we'd call Purdue a "rich" school, I would imagine that Alumni support is better at Purdue.

Tiller showed that you can do well at Purdue playing in the Big10.

Yes he would...not at all excited about him being in the conference with his ties to Ohio high schools given his years on the circuit. Tress was very high on Hazell and there are a bunch of NFL wide receivers recruited and developed by Hazell while in C'bus....wish him well, a good man by all accounts.
