I want the team that has the most serious injuries it really doesn't matter both are excellent teams. I think the Dawgs may be hungrier and they know the Tide is beatable.
Gip and Terry, I admire your optimism, but the sad truth is that by being undefeated, we have earned the right to be this year's sacrificial lamb at the altar of the mighty SEC. No matter which of the two great SEC teams we play, I only hope that our coaching staff can convince the lads that they have a fighting chance. In the end, I hope that we play a competitive game and don't embarrass the university and the legions of Irish faithful.
ND <t>The only teams who should be worried about being embarrassed is whichever SEC team ND will play in the NC game. The SEC hold on the NC is about to come to an end.</t>
I'm thinking that Kiffen played it right. Diaco was going to kill the recieiver rather than let him score. Result was just a few inch penalty. No way SC would kick with the ball on the one yd. line.
I agree with Sid. What chance do we have against the Mighty SEC? All that Protestant power and public school tax money could overwhelm us at a glance. We probably won't even do as well as Wofford or Ooo-La-La... Our team has survived on pure luck through 12 games with hardly a trace of skill to be seen. Even Daniel in the Lion's den never faced such odds! If we can find 11 brave lads who're willing to sacrifice themselves...we'll field a team and take our chances. Who knows? We just might luck out again...
I think the diehard (not average) college football fans would watch the SECCG regardless. The rest just don't care, honestly. There really is a disconnect that I don't think people here in the South understand (which is actually understandable). Here, they love the BCS system. Football isn't religion, it's more important. They live and breath it and assume that everyone else does too. The truth is, the rest of the country only knows so much about them because of the incredibly expanded media coverage surrounding them with the CBS-ESPN combo pack coverage. In reality, the average national fan truly knows or cares about them (the SEC) maybe slightly more than the average Southern football fan knows about Pac12 football...and I assure you, the average SEC fan knows jack **** about pac12 football. (present company excluded of course, I think we've all established our addictions long ago)
