LOL I was waiting for Barnett.... and hopefully that concludes all that crap that we, as ND fans, have had to endure... Tom, do you not think they'll make a run at Gruden or Golden? I could see going after Strong at Louisville as well, but he's my C plan behind the other 2. There's just so many other options that I'd pursue before I thought about some **** bag like Petrino... that's so very... Auburn
Tenn Budget With a huge stadium, biggest in the SEC sold out all the time and SEC money coming in I'm more than a little surprised that Tenn is at a financial disadvantage compared to other SEC teams.
With the Kiffen and Dooley years, we are going to be hard pressed to draw anyone with the hard job that will be placed in front of them. This might be a defeatist attitude but I think it is time to back up 5 yards and punt. Bring back Fulmer. He will dictate his desire to his assistants unlike Dooley who let the assistants get him fired. Fulmer can take us back to being a winning program, 8 or 9 wins per year. That over the next 5 to 6 years will get us out of the cellar we now find ourselves in. At that point, if Fulmer stalls out, promote him within the program to assistant AD and bring in a big name when we have negotiating power. Tennessee is at a point where donors are dropping season tickets and cutting off the program until they see results. Sell outs are no longer the norm. Action must be taken and taken quickly!
Butch Jones from Cincinnati has been tossed around but I'm not too sure. With a different defensive coordinator in 2011 and basically the same players on the field, Dooley put an a$$ whuppin' on the Bearcats. Yes, the pickings whould be better at Tennessee but I would guess without looking, Cincinnati is at least on par with Tennessee on recruiting.
