    Regardless of what happens at 8 pm next Saturday I like the fact that Florida should have extreme motivation to play well vs. FSU at 3:30.

    One of us.... ND or Florida..... has the best shot at playing for the title bs. the SEC Champ.

    If both slip up probably Oregon gets a second chance.

    This week in sports media you won't hear one mentioned without the other.

    UF is the likely team to take ND's place if the Irish lose and UF wins.

    Or...if both lose then all hell could break loose.

    But... congrats Irish on first time BCS #1 ranking.

    Nothing against UF, I've said nice things (sincerely) about UF all year.. but you're not even favored against FSU, let alone some 'lock' to replace ND when ND loses.

    All I know is this.. you pick a social media stream today of mine...and it is filled with Alabama fans celebrating their next national title.. they are going to crush Georgia...Auburn isn't even a consideration...but both of those 2 have more of a chance of beating the Tide than ND..

    Lions, Tigers and bears.....

    From CBS Sports:

    • Florida has to beat Florida State. It can then get in if Notre Dame loses and either Georgia or Alabama (or both) lose. The Gators can still make it if Notre Dame wins and the Tide and Dawgs both lose. Basically, it would have to be Florida being one of two one-loss teams at the top.

    Yes, the possibility of a Georgia-Florida rematch exists but would voters allow it? Even with a loss, ND could still remain in the top two if there is enough anti-rematch sentiment.

    Naw.... all week we will not hear Florida mentioned in the same sentence as Notre Dame....... :wink: :lol:

    This is a historic day.....the first time a school has been #1 in the BCS rankings and #1 in the NCAA's GSR rankings for football. Today, ND ranks #1 in both.
