    1. Really starts and ends with the big upset down in Tuscaloosa by Texas A&M. Johnny Football cemented his status last Sat as one of the best QB's in the country in any class. I continue to be surprised by the good play of the A&M defense. Aggies should close out the season at 10-2, Sam Houston will be run out of Kyle, and Missouri isn't up to the job most likely. Great season for the Ag's nobody saw this coming. I thought Sumlin was a bad hire for them going to the SEC. WRONG.

    2. The Gators continue to surprise me with how mediocre their offense is and how great their defense is..would have figured their offense to get well vs ULaLa. Not only did it continue to struggle but they lost Jeff Driskel for at least the Jacksonville State game and maybe the FSU game. Now if the Gator offense can't get going against Jacksonville State...something's wrong. BCS or no BCS most likely depends on the FSU game. Hard to see them winning in Tally without and offense.

    3. The Invisible Buckeyes...just keep rolling along. Somebody suggested that their probation has taken the pressure off them this season and that is why they are doing so well but I am not buying that. Braxton Miller is a great fit clearly for Urban's offense and has allowed them to get by with a thin RB corp. Illinois is not a good team, but what good teams do to bad teams is stomp them which is what the Buckeyes did. This week Whisky on the road will be a real test, as they seem to have found their mojo again wining 4 out of their last 5.

    4. The Irish, continue to roll. Beat a bad BC team in a workman like manner. No flash (to the disappointment of us fans) just another win. We held them to Zero TD's, that makes our 4th game where our opponent did not score a TD, Mich State, Michigan, Miami and now BC. It would have helped I think if we had been able to put 40 points or so on them, but that's not who our offense is this year. Kelly seems to like methodical ball control drives that eat clock and rely on his defense.

    5. Texas took out Iowa State, no granted Iowa State isn't a top 25 team but they aren't a bad team either. I like where the Longhorns are heading, esp given all the drama we've had this year on defense. We have a bye week and then TCU and KState. I think there is at least a 50/50 chance we can go to KSU and beat them. Except for the coach and the QB we have more talent!! :)

    6. Oregon was stiffled a little by CAL
in the 1st half, but in the end it was the same old score a Zillion to something in favor of the Ducks. However the Duck defense is starting to get beat up a little so I wonder how they will hold up, might see more of those 72-61 games.

    7. Tenn lost in OT to Missouri at home, and from what I read Dooley let the clock run out with 2 timeouts and a great offense. Maybe there was more to it than that. But when Tom gives up on a Tenn coach that coach needs to start talking to moving companies...he's history. I guess he could beat Vandy and Kentucky to end the season but would that be enough?

    8. Michigan-Northwestern. I really thought Northwestern would win this game, no Denard Robinson and Northwestern seems to be a good team. Well they almost won, but Gardner had a good game and UM wins in OT. I wonder if Gardner will start the rest of the games? I'm sure Robinson if he is healthy would not be happy to not start his final home game vs Iowa and his final Ohio State game. But it might be really helpful for Gardner to play out the season getting the offense ready for the 2013 season. I'd have to say though that Robinson has really put it on the line for UM in his career and if he is healthy he should start. I haven't read anything on this so I might be making a controversy where none exists.

    9. Neb looks like it has the inside track to the Rose Bowl if they just take care of business. That was a solid win over a surprisingly good Penn State team. I read that Penn State feels like they got jobbed by the refs on a touchdown that was called back and maybe changed the complexion of the game. But 'dems the breaks as the saying goes. I don't see how anybody but Wisconsin can be their opponent in the Big 10 championship game. Should be interesting.

    10. Have to mention that there are a lot of new rules and bowl alignments coming out for the BCS series starting in 2014. There are going to be 6 BCS level bowls and a championship game that will be bid on seperatly I guess. The Gang of 5 (ACC, SEC, BIG, Pac12, Big12) Champions all get autobid, rest of the world has to meet some sort of standard. I wish they make the Gang of 5 meet some sort of standard as well.

    It's about time!

Well done, I think I agree with it all.

    RE: the new bowl system.
At least they are taking the champs, and not some kind of beauty contest winner.

#2. Score the tie TD late in the 4th after trailing most of the game, then win on a returned block punt. Against ULaLa. And they don't drop?? Oh yeah, they're an SEC team. I'm surprised they didn't jump to #1c this week behind Alabama and Georgia.

#5. No, they really are a bad team. Not WSU bad (also known as catastrophic) but they are bad.

#9. Yes, PSU was robbed by the officials. Then again by the replay officials. That was a piss poor call. PSU is to blame for the loss because they then gave up another TD so no tears guys.

#10. I am happier about the four team playoff than I am with the BCS, but I still want eight teams. And looking at the top of the circle hump with #3-#9, I'm not on board with just taking the "best 8" anymore. Until we get off this cousin lovin' "top half of the SEC is better than all but two teams in the rest of the country" crap.

#11. Holy crap, Wazzu kept fighting until the end this week!! I guess two hours of gassers, up/downs, lines did something for the intestinal fortitude! It's another loss, but I'll take that effort.

#12. Terry, don't stop doing these, I look forward to them every week, even if I don't have time to respond and shower down praise on all my good SEC friends on the board.

Wow, Kesley's SEC hate seems to be growing in an attempt by the Cosmos to balance Dave's "love"...

Terry, I enjoy these also. I read earlier but didn't comment.

But let me say this about the Gators, I have no idea how we have managed to win 9 games with the inconsistent offense we have. Actually I do, it's the defense.

Now our QB is out and we are not sure he will be back for FSU, but unless we lose to Jacksonville State we will have at least 10 wins. Hopefully some improved play on the OL and some better playmakers at WR.

I will be tuned in today to see if Kansas State, Oregon and Notre Dame keep winning.
