You know...us middle classers have to step it up and I am sure that in reality includes about everyone on this board except Gipper and BT.

Why should we expect a hard working stiff like Mitt Romney to have to contribute one penny more of his net after taxes take home pay of 8.3 million dollars when he pays so much to begin with? I mean really.

OK>..who is with me to help America avoid another Capitol Hill impasse?

Come on... don't we all have a spare $5,000.00 to help out America?

Chump change to us middle classers right?... When compared to poor ole Mitt.

Where's the money going? Are we going to piss away more money on bankrupt solar panal companies. Do I have to buy cell phones for drug dealers? How about a security detail while the President takes his wife on a date to NYC? Oh it doesn't matter, whatever it is it's just another rathole favorite of the Chicago gang.

Sure we do... oh, wait, it has already been taken away by the biggest tax ever levied on the American public... Obamacare.

Dave, you really humiliate yourself with your constant whining about wealthy business people. You always insinuate that they are cheating or taking advantage when the reality is that they are just more talented and astute than the rest of us. Most people can deal with that and be happy.

    You can't.

George you missed my point entirely.

As I understand it the biig sticking point on this issue is that the GOP will not bend on increasing taxes for those over $250,000.00 in income and the GOP would rather see the Bush tax cuts expire for everyone instead of relenting on the issue.

Rather than get a little more from those that have it they would be happy if average middle class folks were significantly burdened with a tax increase.

So, it can also be looked at as the Far left liberals want to make the middle class suffer because they won't budge a bit on compromise with the GOP plan.

Dave, you are so quick to point fingers.

Excuse me for a second if I tend to identify more with the middle class who just don't have it to give over the multi-millionaire who might be able to spare a dime or two.

Damn there's a lot of millionaires on the right....almost every dammed one of ya I guess.....

Dave you don't know who we are or what we believe. Speaker of the House John Boehner said today that he WOULD agree to raise taxes on higher incomes if it's part of the right package. The problem you see, is that Republicans like him have been locked out of negotiations for four years now. The President won't negotiate and neither will Horseface Harry or San Fran Nan. Republicans are business people. We're always willing to negotiate. Now tell us: what is your side offering?

George Bush Senior agreed with Dems to raise taxes in exchange for spending cuts. The taxes went up, the Dems reneged (as those lying bastards so often do) and Bush was a one term president abandoned by his own base.
Now Lucy is holding the football and expecting the Pubs to bite again.

On another note, I listened to the Left whine for years about the Bush tax cuts and how bad they were for the country. They've already agreed to extend them once and now are whining about them expiring. If you recall, the Bush tax cuts helped "the rich" the most blah, blah, blah. So if they expire, it should hit "the rich" hardest. I wish that the left would get their bullcrap straight.
