How's your QB, is he cleared to play. I saw the replay and he really looked out of it when they took him off the field, I did hear that they didn't keep him in the hospital though. We had a similar deal with our QB and Kelly wouldn't let him play the next week.

    Terry,

Braxton has been cleared to play, but Urban says he is very sore (neck).

Looks like he will start and see what develops. Guiton will be available if needed. Both are taking reps this week. Miller practiced yesterday, with no contact.

I think we need Miller to win!

Always happy to come out of Happy Valley with a win! Both teams had some difficulty in getting their offenses in gear, but the second half was a different story.
Turning point seem to be with our interception for a score on the opening drive of the second half.

Our defense played better this evening, and Braxton appeared to be full go. He really needs to settle down on his throws, and he was fairly well contained on his open field jaunts. Roby had a great game blocking several passes.

Special teams allowed another punt block for a score. Not a good situation.

I never thought we would be 9-0 at this point, so I can not complain too much.

Congratulations toBraxton Miller who becomes only the third QB in conference play to rush for over 1,000 yds in a season.

The other two are Randel El of Indiana and Denard Robinson of Michigan.

Excellent win, good to see Miller had no effects from that hit last week. I was very surprised though to see you guys were underdogs.

Several undefeated teams were underdogs last weekend, but I'll bet nobody predicted Kent State beating #15 Rutgers...

BTW- imagine how good the Buckeyes are going to be when they have something to fight for. The rest of the Big Ten had better get it's act together quickly, because Urban is building a monster...

Buckeyes make it 10-0 over the Illini in Columbus. We probably played one of our better games for four quarters, even if playing a team that has been beaten up badly this year by most everyone they have faced.

Braxton Miller had 226 yards in the air and threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Carlos Hyde continues to be a force on the ground rushing for more that 100 yards again.

However back up QB Kenny Guiton fumbled late in the game deep in Illini territory and it was returned for 77 yards and a score. We always manage to have the opposition score on one big play almost every game.

We have a bye next week, which I detest, but the team needs some rest to heal for the Wisconsin game in Madison.

honestly, and I seriously mean no disrespect saying this... but this probation thing may work out well for you.

Urban can spend a year team building and he doesn't have to worry about one of those situations in which he has a great year, but it all gets flushed in a bowl beat down. He can play this run out.. quite possibly go unbeaten and the legend of OSU football is back on track.

No offense taken Corey and a point well taken...but I still wouldn't mind having had a shot at one of those beatdowns.

    Corey,

I can not say i disagree with your statement about the Buckeyes being bowl ineligible, it has taken the pressure off of the team and should put us in an excellent position next fall. I am never quick to take offense to any remarks about Ohio State.

Originally I had indicated I would be happy with a 9-3 record. I still have reservations about going 12-0, but who knows? I am not even sure we belong in the top 10, but we seem to keep wining.

Happy to have Meyer here and looking forward down the road.

Oh don't fret. There's lots of us still wearing our Halloween costumes in the top 10... We'll find out who is really super man soon enough. Just enjoy the ride.

All things considered, it could be worse.. You could be Penn State.. where no matter how positively the sports media tries to spin your situation, it just gets worse and worse.
