Power returned today at 3:00 PM. Six days. I can't say enough for the efforts of all to help pull us out of this disaster. Our power in our immediate area was restored by Alabama Power out of Birmingham! Tomorrow my son takes on a temporary partner in his duties with the State Police... a State trooper from Michigan. 24 of them are reporting for duty tomorrow. There are emergency personnel here from everywhere and they are working 24/7 right along our own personnel. These kind of tragedies are horrible but they also reveal the very best in people.
Got an email from my sister in Summit, NJ about 2 hrs. ago. Her power was still off but she was expecting the power on sometime later today. Crews from Ohio and Michigan were in Summit and getting the power back on.
Fantastic news George, I can honestly say I have experienced the same joy of having your power restored after six days, it's damn nice....Enjoy I hope everyone gets their power restored shortly...
