Rex Ryan is between a rock and a hard place this week.

His team is 3-5 and on the brink of staying on an offensive slide that will keep the J-E-T-S out of the playoffs.

Does he abandon his franchise draft pick Sanchez in favor of the charismatic winner Tebow?

If Tebow fails that spells disaster for Ryan.

On the other hand if the team loses two maybe even one more game then the playoff chances look pretty remote.

Tebow took over at 3-5 with Denver on a similar slide and took the Broncos to the playoffs.

    What would you guys do?

I think he is screwed either way so I think the best chance he has is to go with a guy who has been there.....done that...... Tebow.

He obviously likes Sanchez...... but can Sanchez pull this off after losing 4 of the past 5 games?

    SI poll last week of NFL players....most overrated NFL player;

    #1...Tim Tebow
    #2...Mark Sanchez

Maybe time to go quarterback shopping. Ask us Browns fans...we're good at it.

Looks like Peyton Manning is an upgrade over Tim Tebow for the Bronco's though! :)

Bottom line is that Tim Tebow is so limited in terms of what he can do as a QB that unless the Jets defense does what the Bronco's defense did last year in terms of keeping games very close so that the occassional Tebow scoring drive would have a chance of winning the game..they are screwed.

Peyton looks great... I'll give him that.

Is he taking Denver to at least the second round of the playoffs is the question that we do not have an answer for just yet.

What Tebow could do for the Jets is inspire a moribund offense to win some games....that's all... just win baby!

Excellent article that makes a helluva lot of sense.

The Jets look stupid at this point when their starting Qb is having a terrible year and yet they have what seems like no use at all for Tebow and they haven't traded him.

What is he then? A glittery attraction for the media?

You know Dave, I remember the same thing being said about Peyton when he joined the worst offense in the NFL in 1998. I think he is capable at his age of doing more than Tim at his peek! At least the Broncos management who knows a lot more than me or you thinks so.

Tebow was 7-4 with the Broncos last year with a first round playoff win.

The great way Peyton is playing I expect more from the Broncos this year......and I'll bet their fans and Elway does too.

Dave if you are implying that Tebow can even carry Peytons shoes as a Pro QB then you are the only person in America who is making that assertion.

It makes no sense that the Jets made the kind of deal they made to get Tebow and then they can't find any way to use him.

Better than Manning, not a chance but not being used at all?

Not implying anything Terry other than it should be expected that the Broncos win more games and advance farther into the playoffs than they did with Tebow.

Last I looked being a pretty Qb didn't mean crap in the NFL in comparison to winning football games.

Manning is a winner in the NFL and he's playing well so it should happen.

Why not? If I was a Broncos fan I would be very disappointed with less.

If I were a VP of a firm and my sales manager fired a proven winner of a salesman to bring in what everyone said was a superstar salesman from a competitor then I would be expecting at the very least the same results but more likely I would be looking for better results......and if not I start to question the wisdom and tenure of my sales manager.

Dave everything fell right for Tebow last year, that pass against Pittsburgh, the great Bronco defense that kept them in games, etc. And you know as well as I do that each season is unique on it's own. You could not guarantee me that just because the Bronco's won a playoff game with Tebow last year that they would this year with Tebow. They certainly could have been worse this year with Tebow, what would you say to that?

"That pass" was beautifully thrown and executed because the defense never knew completely what Tebow might do because he was so effective as a runner.

He kept many drives alive in his comebacks because he could pick up crucial first downs in obvious passing situations with his feet.

    Those intangibles woudn't change.

I guess you're saying the salesman that was let go had a lucky year....

But as the VP I am a results oriented guy.... and I am looking for wins...plain and simple.... not style.
