    Is there a front runner?

Matt Barkley has fallen way down the list.
Geno Smith had a bad game on the road at Texas Tech
Colin Kline does not put up Heisman like QB numbers.
Braxton Miller plays for a team on probation.
Johnny Manziel is a RS Freshman.
    Manti' Te'o is a LB.
Oregon has 2 guys who cancel each other out.
Montee Ball isn't having a Heisman type season this year.
SEC...lots of good players of course, but I can't think of anybody who is getting Heisman hype, which is very strange.

If KState goes undefeated I think Colin Klein can win it. If the Irish go undefeated I still don't think Manti' can win it, the year that Charles Woodson won it he also put some time in as a Punt returner and played some WR as well. I think if he hadn't shown so much versatility that he wouldn't have won.

Tebow won as a soph and now if JFF can keep his stats up and give A&M a key win or two in the SEC down the stretch just maybe he will win it.

It seems far fetched but there are no clear frontrunners now.

I don't expect Johnny to win, but...
If he continues even close to what has done so far against LSU, MSU, and Bama... I'd say he has to be in the top 3 at the end of the season.

I doubt he can continue as he has against those teams, but I'm just saying IF...

If JFF has great stats against those SEC defenses.... remember he already did well vs. UF's very good defense......and maybe TexA&M even pulls an upset then JFF has a shot for sure at the top 3 maybe 2.

Remember Tebow had already made a name for himself during his freshman year helping the Gators to a NC. Nobody outside Texas had heard of Johnny Football.

If Braxton Miller can continue to put up the numbers against Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan, I think he is a viable canidate.

He will need some help from Geno Smith and Colin Kline. Key losses to either QB, will hurt their chances.

The fact Ohio State is not bowl elgible probably will not hinder votes.
Ware,Texas Tech was voted the heisman under similiar circumstances.

Andre Ware (Houston), did win it while UH was on probation. I'm really hoping that Colin Klein will win it, he's a great player and has had a great career at KSU. I'm rarely ever for Freshmen or Sophs winning the Heisman. I liked it better when it was mainly a Sr award.

Terry, at least one publication agrees with you at this point in the season:

    SI's Top Heisman Candidates

Interesting that Manti Te'o is ranked second.
