I was watching the Golf Channel last night, they were going over Phil's Ryder Cup record...it sucks.

Medina is in absolutely beautiful shape, that's the good news. The bad news is that since so many of the Euro's play here now on the PGA tour they are all familiar and comfortable at Medina. While when we go to Europe the reverse is not true.

Should be a great weekend though.

The Ryder Cup is alway more exciting than the President's Cup. Probably because the Euros have been kicking our ass so many times recently. I'm looking forward to it.
My daughter Meg is working the event handling VIP parking. She had to be at work at 4:30 AM this morning and got home after 10 last night. I can't wait to hear her stories after this is over. It figures that my one child that cares the least about sports gets to work at the Ryder Cup and the Super Bowl.

Shaky start by the USA. They need to take away Tigers driver, Stricker probably can't bear to watch when he has to follow Tiger off the tee.

USA off to great start this afternoon....Watson/Simpson are steamrolling their match. Woods/Stricker only US match we are not winning. That Belgian kid can putt.

I know this is probably sacrilege, but it was a lot of fun with that crowd. Yes, I actually watched golf yesterday.

How could Webb Simpson miss that putt on 18? How did he win the US Open?
I think that they're not playing Phil and Bradley this afternoon on humanitarian grounds. They've been crushing the Euros.

Simpson's putting today was awful, he missed at least 4 putts that would have won holes and they were very makeable.

Lets see if El Tigre has found his game sitting out this moring and working on the practice range.

10-6 isn't bad, but 12-3 would have been a breather today. I think we can finally win one!

Webb Simpson sure turned around his putting in the afternoon didn't he?

Odd match in the "anchor" position today. Molanari vs Woods. I guess Jose' figures if they haven't clinched it by then it didn't matter or he could figure he could put anybody out there vs Tiger and win it as well.

How would you like to be Webb Simpson playing Ian Poulter? Man he's unreal.

Corey, it's great stuff....I tell ya, I went to the one in Ireland 6 years ago and it was one of the most extraordinary sporting events I ever attended anywhere for any sport...it was just weeks after the death of Darren Clarke's - an Irishman - and the emotion, energy and excitement was extraordinary in spite of terrible weather.

If you ever have a chance, its a must do in my opinion - hell, I even blew off a chance to watch my Buckeyes whack Texas in Austin for the chance to go...

Back in 2002 I went to the Ryder Cup matches at Oakland Hills. It was a very disappointing showing by the US. By Sunday, the crowd knew that they were there for the final nails. What really got to me was that I'd been so looking forward to the event for years.
It's very difficult to see much of the action in person. The crowds are so heavy on the holes where there is action that unless you pick one spot and stay there, you're always trying to find a viewing spot. The only way you can keep up with what's going on is to buy one of their cheap radios that picks up a broadcast of the action.

Anyone remember a complete collapse like this one in the Ryder Cup?

Colossal collapse by the US. Horrible Captains picks, I'm sure Davis picked Stricker so he could partner with Tiger, that was a huge mistake it turned out. I mean Steve has been great in recent years, but they kept saying how he hasn't been the same putting the last 3 or 4 mos...huh and you pick him because of his putting? Then there is Furyck, again a great player who this year has collapsed in just about every big event he's played in, would get out strong and just couldn't finish. He did it again today.

I forgive Brant Snedeker he's had an incredible run the last month and was bound to be emotionally and physically spent. Kudo's to Dufner though he was solid. Tiger, are you kidding me miss a 4 footer that gives them the out right win. Way to go, really earned that 1/2 point didn't you.

You have to give it to them though, Poulter was money, Rose was money down the stretch against Phil. I tought Kuchar would eat up Westwood, not the other way around. Bubba played well the first 2 days, but didn't have it today.

My nomination for the 2014 US Ryder Cup Captain is Henry Heimlich. He'd be perfect for most of these guys.

Zack Johnson, Jason Dufner and Keegan Bradley, you guys were tough. And although Keegan didn't win his singles match, he fought the world no. 1 all the way. And it was obvious that you were keeping Micky Mouse from choking as he did today on 18.
Brandt Snedeker, from your choke drive on 18 on Fri. morning up to today's ass thrashing by Paul Lawrie, you were terrible. Fortunately for you there was a bigger turd in the US Ryder bowl.
Tiger, you stunk. Instead of being the keystone of this team you were the millstone. Molinari today almost completed the "Tiger slam" taking all 4 points from you. Your Ryder Cup record speaks for itself. AWFUL!!!

Well the Euros can celebrate and, knowing that they slayed the evil Americans go to their homes in places like Chicago and Lake Nona, Fla.
