Not surprising I guess, but when you give a man a minor league team to play in MLB not sure what else he can do but lose a lot of games. Think about that in light if 100+Million dollar payrolls of good clubs. I guess the proof of this strategy will be in whether or not they will use the money wisely and rebuild the team.
