Israeli Mossad Agents: We Developed Stuxnet Computer Virus, Obama Trying To Take Credit For It To Bolster Election Chances…

I can’t imagine the Mossad is all that surprised a shameless hack like Obama is trying to take credit for their work by leaking bogus details to the NY Times that make him look tough on Iran as he tries to win reelection.

    Via Atlantic Wire:

Israel’s officials have a message for anyone praising the CIA for its sophisticated cyber attack on Iran: It was our baby. The Stuxnet computer worm, described by David Sanger in The New York Times last week as an invention by the Bush administration, was actually developed by Mossad, according to Israeli officials speaking with Haaretz journalist Yossi Melman on condition of anonymity:

The Israeli officials actually told me a different version. They said that it was Israeli intelligence that began, a few years earlier, a cyberspace campaign to damage and slow down Iran’s nuclear intentions. And only later they managed to convince the USA to consider a joint operation — which, at the time, was unheard of.

The irony of course is that both U.S. and Israeli officials spent years denying knowledge of who carried out the attacks, which reportedly destroyed thousands of Iran’s centrifuges, ever since it became public in 2010. Now that it’s out, it’s time to claim credit! Of course, if you read Sanger’s account, he certainly doesn’t diminish the expertise of Israel’s spies:

Israel’s Unit 8200, a part of its military, had technical expertise that rivaled the N.S.A.’s, and the Israelis had deep intelligence about operations at Natanz that would be vital to making the cyberattack a success.

Regardless, these Israeli officials say Sanger’s account was too generous to the CIA. Amusingly, one of the officials tries to play it cool, in his remark to Melman:

My Israeli sources understand the sensitivity and the timing of the issue and are not going to be dragged into a battle over taking credit. “We know that it is the presidential election season,” one Israeli added, ”and don’t want to spoil the party for President Obama and his officials, who shared in a twisted and manipulated way some of the behind-the-scenes secrets of the success of cyberwar.”

Government Report: As A Result Of Obamacare Health Care Spending Will Be $478 Billion Higher Over Next Decade…

    Via Philip Klein:

When President Obama began pushing national health care legislation in 2009, he argued that reform was needed to rein in the unsustainable growth in health care spending that was crippling the budgets of businesses, states and the federal government. But a new government actuarial study finds that as a result of the law, health care spending will be $478 billion higher over the next decade than it would have otherwise been had no law been passed.

Furthermore, as a result of the health care law, about 50 cents of every dollar of health care spending in the United States will be financed by government by 2021, according to the report from the actuary’s office at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, unveiled today in the journal Health Affairs.

Already, supporters of greater government involvement in the health care sector are touting the report. “It’s delivering more coverage for the same dollars,” Austin Frakt, a professor at the Boston University School of Public Health, told the Huffington Post’s Jeffery Young.

One More Dubious Story in the Obama Family Saga

    Home - by Cardigan - June 14, 2012 - 16:30 America/New_York - 13 Comments

    American Thinker

The respectable media, left and right, are finally opening themselves up to the possibility that the story Barack Obama told in his 1995 memoir Dreams from My Father has been, in large part, manufactured.

As a case in point, the Weekly Standard’s Andrew Ferguson has had to do some serious reevaluating of the man after reading David Maraniss’s soon-to-be released book, Barack Obama: The Story. Writes Ferguson ruefully, “The writer who would later use the power of his life story to become a plausible public man was making it up, to an alarming extent.”

What Ferguson found particularly “dispiriting” was that the moments most likely to be “invented” were the most critical ones, the book’s racially-charged epiphanies, “those periodic aha! moments that carry the book and bring its author closer to self-discovery.”

Although I have not yet seen the Maraniss book, I suspect there is one such story that he may have missed. Ferguson certainly did not discuss it, and that is Obama’s alleged meeting with his half-brother Mark Ndesandjo in Kenya more than twenty years ago. Although I wrote about this in some detail last year, it deserves revisiting given the renewed interest in Obama’s many fictions.

In Dreams, Obama goes on at great length about his first meeting with Ndesandjo in 1988 (or thereabouts) on the occasion of Obama’s first visit to Kenya. This meeting took place at the home of Ruth Ndesandjo, Mark’s Jewish American mother, who remarried after her divorce from Barack Obama, Sr.

In Dreams, Obama remembered Ruth’s current husband, Ndesandjo’s stepfather, bouncing his and Ruth’s son, Joey, on his lap. Joey was born no later than 1980. That was some heavy-duty bouncing. Do the math.

“I hear you’re at Berkeley,” said Obama, who is four years Ndesandjo’s senior.

“Stanford,” Ndesandjo corrected. “I’m in my last year of the physics program there.” Obama added accurately, “His voice was deep, his accent perfectly American.” After a lengthy meeting with Ndesandjo and his mother, Obama reportedly called his half-brother the following week, and the two had a heart-to-heart over lunch.

Obama’s Claim That British Tortured His Grandfather Debunked

I wonder if Barack Hussein Obama will stop hating Western Civilization in general and our closest ally Britain in particular in light of the revelation that his fantasy about his grandfather being tortured by the British for standing up on behalf of the put-upon colored masses is not true:

‘Barack Obama: The Story’ by David Maraniss catalogues dozens of instances in which Obama deviated significantly from the truth in his book ‘Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance’. The 641-page book punctures the carefully-crafted narrative of Obama’s life.

One of the enduring myths of Obama’s ancestry is that his paternal grandfather Hussein Onyango Obama, who served as a cook in the British Army, was imprisoned in 1949 by the British for helping the anti-colonial Mau Mau rebels and held for several months.

Obama’s step-grandmother Sarah, Onyango wife, who is still living, is quoted in the future President’s memoir, as saying: ‘One day, the white man’s askaris came to take Onyango away, and he was placed in a detention camp.

‘But he had been in the camp for over six months, and when he returned to Alego he was very thin and dirty. He had difficulty walking, and his head was full of lice. He was so ashamed, he refused to enter his house or tell us what happened.’

In a 2008 interview, Sarah Obama claimed that he was ‘whipped every morning and evening’ by the British. ‘They would sometimes squeeze his testicles with metal rods. They also pierced his nails and buttocks with a sharp pin, with his hands and legs tied together. He was lucky to survive. Some of his fellow inmates were mutilated with castration pliers and beaten to death with clubs.’

But Maraniss, who researched Obama’s life in Kenya, Indonesia, Hawaii and the mainland United States, found that there were ‘no remaining records of any detention, imprisonment, or trial of Hussein Onyango Obama’. He interviewed five people who knew Obama’s grandfather, who died in 1979, who ‘doubted the story or were certain it did not happen’.

Nonetheless, Obama is eager to believe that it did. The dreams from his father after which one of his pre-accomplishment biographies is named are dreams of revenge on behalf of the African homeland with which he clearly identifies. The implications of someone with a profound grudge against Caucasians and the West being made Leader of the Free world will alarm anyone not suffering from cranial–rectal insertion syndrome.

Other fabrications reinforce the same racial/ethnic grievances.

Maraniss also casts a sceptical eye on Obama’s grandmother’s tales of racism in Kansas, doubting whether she was ever chastised for addressing a black janitor as ‘Mister’ or ridiculed for playing with a black girl.

Obama himself, Maraniss finds, deliberately distorted elements of his own life to fit into a racial narrative. The author writes that Obama presents himself in his memoir as ‘blacker and more disaffected’ than he really was. …

A tale of the father of Obama’s Indonesian stepfather Soewarno Martodihardjo being killed by Dutch soldiers as he fought for Indonesian independence turns out to be ‘a concocted myth in almost all respects’, Maraniss finds.

If the Manchurian Moonbat believes any of his own B.S., or even that it generally represents reality, this country will remain in extreme danger until he is safely out of office.

Chutzpah: Obama In Midst Of Two-Day Seven Fundraiser Bonanza Says Romney Has More Time For Fundraisers…
    [IMG]
The fact that Obama has the nerve to make this claim while hitting seven fundraisers in only 48 hours that brings the total number for this year alone to 100, out-pacing George W. Bush by an almost 3-to-1 ratio is nothing less than stunning.

I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his re-election campaign, if things continue as they have so far.

I’m not just talking about the super PACs and anonymous outside groups — I’m talking about the Romney campaign itself. Those outside groups just add even more to the underlying problem.

The Romney campaign raises more than we do, and the math isn’t hard to understand: Through the primaries, we raised almost three-quarters of our money from donors giving less than $1,000, while Mitt Romney’s campaign raised more than three-quarters of its money from individuals giving $1,000 or more.

And, again, that’s not including the massive outside spending by super PACs and front groups funneling up to an additional billion dollars into ads trashing me, you, and everything we believe in.

We can be outspent and still win — but we can’t be outspent 10 to 1 and still win.

These dinners represent how we do things differently. My opponent spent this past weekend at a secretive retreat for the biggest donors to both his campaign and the super PACs that support him.

I’ve got other responsibilities I’m attending to.

    Thank you,

    Barack

What complete ********. Looks like we found one more activity this guy engages in besides golf, fund raising and parties for donors, he apparently is keeping his eye on Romney.
He knows his record on the economy sucks. He knows that by traditional standards, he should be on his way out. His only hope is to raise enough money to buy his way into a second term, making up ******** social and racial conflict.

AP: Water is wet, sky is blue, Obama told a lie — Nothing in Obamacare ensures you can keep your healthcare coverage if you’re happy with it
    [IMG]
WASHINGTON (AP) — In promoting the health care law, President Barack Obama is repeating his persistent and unsubstantiated assurance that Americans who like their health insurance can simply keep it. . . .

OBAMA: “If you’re one of the more than 250 million Americans who already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance. This law will only make it more secure and more affordable.”. . .

THE FACTS: Nothing in the law ensures that people happy with their policies now can keep them. Employers will continue to have the right to modify coverage or even drop it, and some are expected to do so as more insurance alternatives become available to the population under the law. Nor is there any guarantee that coverage will become cheaper, despite the subsidies that many people will get.

Team Obama Pissed at FactCheck.org, Insists Upon False Narrative
    [IMG]
This is the part where the narcissist throws a massive fit until his opponents agree with his position, such as the tantrum Obama threw that apparently convinced Roberts to blow off the Constitution.

(ABC News) — The Obama Campaign is vigorously defending its attacks on Mitt Romney as an “outsourcer,” following an analysis by one independent fact-checker that called some of the claims “untrue” and others “thinly supported.”

In a six-page letter to FactCheck.org, deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter disputes the notion that Romney cannot be held accountable for outsourcing by Bain Capital-owned companies after February 1999, when he stepped down as CEO. . . .

FactCheck.org reporters Brooks Jackson and Eugene Kiely had claimed in their report that the Obama campaign overreached in its TV ads labeling Romney as an “outsourcer in chief” because they “found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas.”. . .

But Jackson and Kiely don’t dispute the notion that some work went overseas. “That was the core business for Modus Media and SMTC Corp. — two outsource companies featured in a June 21 article in the Washington Post that has been the basis of recent Obama TV ads,” they write. “Bain also invested in U.S.-based companies that sold goods manufactured here and abroad, and some of those companies closed U.S. facilities and eliminated U.S. jobs.”

What was Romney’s role in those cases? It’s not entirely clear. While Team Obama claims Romney’s departure from Bain in 1999 wasn’t a clean break, they do not present any direct evidence that Romney had a hands-on, decision-making role in any of the outsourcing cases cited in the ads.

OBAMA DEMANDS A STAKE TO PLACE MORE BETS

    Home - by Cardigan - July 3, 2012 - 19:33 America/New_York - 1 Comment

    Human Events

President Obama is getting ready to roll his imperial motorcade through Ohio and Pennsylvania on a bus tour, which his campaign bizarrely decided to call the “Betting on America” tour.

This President is the last person on Earth who should be using the word “bet” in any rhetorical connection with his record, which has featured some of the most spectacularly failed “bets” the world has ever seen: Solyndra, Fisker, Tesla Motors, Beacon Power, Ener1, A123 Systems, Abound Solar, SunPower, Amonix, Evergreen Solar, Solar Trust for America…

These “bets” got us a level of “green job creation” roughly 95 percent smaller than what Obama predicted, at a current average cost of $1.6 million per green job created. Watching him command us to empty our wallets so he can stagger back to the craps table for another throw of the dice is pathetic.

Even funnier is what Politico reports Obama will be saying about his 2012 opponent from his million-dollar bulletproof Canadian-built bus: “The President’s vision stands in stark contrast to Mitt Romney, who believes in an economy built from the top down and supports the same policies that crashed our economy and devastated the middle class in the first place. As a corporate buyout specialist, he made massive profits by shuttering plants, firing workers and investing in companies that pioneered shipping of good American jobs overseas.”

No one has ever believed more passionately in an “economy built from the top down” than Barack Hussein Obama, whose blind faith in command economics and central planning have driven America to the edge of ruin. Nothing is more “top down” than a politician in Washington dropping huge piles of debt on generations to come, in order to over-ride market decisions, choosing “winners” with bailouts and directing his regulatory agencies to create “losers” in accordance with his ideology.

As for the President’s latest exploding cigar, his fraudulent “outsourcing” talking point, even theWashington Post – which agreeably manufactured headlines to help Obama launch the attack – has been forced to back away. The Post’s fact-checker was pushed into the humiliating situation of claiming his paper’s story refuted its own headline, provided alert readers read the story with sufficient care and skepticism. Then he cravenly refused to rate the falsehood of the Post’s story and subsequent Obama ads with his usual “Pinocchio” system, saying only that they “would not fare much better” than an Obama ad he already blasted with a four-Pinocchio rating.
