True, but with FSU you never know. Thats what people thought last year, and look what happened. Dont forget they still got to play the Gators and Miami/Vtech in the ACCCG. Canes fans were sure that kyle wright was better than Chris Leak and that Rich Olson was for sure going to be the difference maker for miamis new and improved offence. Guess it was all talk.... Just imagine if these two teams played in the SEC. If Miami had Florida's schedule they would for sure lose atleast 5 or 6 games this season
Ugh... <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> If Bill is correct, the irony of this is very bitter for me. <br/> <br/> 2006 will see yet ANOTHER inept defensive effort from my team. <br/> I didn't really appreciate how nice it is to have a great defense and mediocre offense, but I sure do now. <br/> <br/> I'll take either one of those defenses from last night in a heartbeat!</r>
Defense is where UF makes it's statement this season. Offense does have some playmakers and the Gators will run it up on some but I am afraid at times they will struggle to be consistent on O and that may cost at Auburn, et. al. 10-2 and a berth in the SECCG would be a thrill and a great goal. I think it's possible for Florida but a win over the Vols is extremely important to set this in motion.
I still cant believe we have such a brutal schedule compared to other top 10 teams who dont have half the schedule we do. 10-2 Would be a very good season. Anything beyond that, would be outstanding.
Opening week game results don't seem to make our schedule any more manageable as FSU did beat Miami and all the SEC foes won and most won in a dominating fashion including SC with a surprising shutout at Starkville and of course Tenn's huge win over Cal. 10-2 is probably a pipedream at this point.
