I went to three games at Dyke Stadium which was a bit of a dump. Their new stadium will definitely be a boost to their future.

Alabama vs Miss St.: Battle of the athletic qbs. Once the first tough game in a series of tough games. Offense looked good last week but the defense gave up big plays. I hate that bend but don’t break crap. Turnovers may be the difference tomorrow.

Whoa…34-13 NW and they rushed for over 400 yards against Linebacker U. I imagine the fans in Happy Valley are in full tar and pitchforks mode.

That new football stadium, Ryan Field, really looks great. Very impressive and a great update for the Wildcats and fans. I did not see Bobda's post earlier but did not realize the seating capacity was only 35,000!:(

Years ago I saw a couple of ND-NW games in the old stadium and one in Soldier Field. A bit surprising that they'd spend $870mm and have only 35,000 seats, but based on the snapshot in Bobda's earlier post and some info conveyed during the game, it's a very impressive venue. I imagine visiting fans of some Big 10 programs like Miichigan and Ohio State will be frustrated by the limited ticket availability.

That might be the reason for only 35000 seats.

Didn't watch Va.Tech/Pitt but maybe just maybe the Hokies were screwed on that game winning FG attempt. I don't know why though that if every TD can be reviewed why can't a FG?

Alabama took apart Miss State and while Kamario Taylor did throw for 3 TD's against the Tide he also threw 2 picks and fumbled 1 time.

The upset of the day is Minnesota over Michigan 20-14. Underwood threw 2 picks.

And the Gophers win the Brown Jug at home for the 1st time in 5 decades. Michigan’s offense was dreadful. The OC clearly doesn’t trust Underwood to throw the ball and Minnesota’s defense manhandled our offensive line holding our offense to roughly 150 total yards. Ann Arbor joins Happy Valley is misery.

TOK, I think the fans would like that. Underwood seems unable to understand how RPO works or read defenses. His arm in strong but not accurate. He was an all world recruit but his reputation was generated while playing high school football in Michigan which is a subpar state for high school football.

Buckeyes score vs Iowa just as first half ends and lead 17-6. Not complaining at this stage but our offensive line is not giving Saying a lot of protection.

Turnovers turned out to be big today like I thought. Russell had a good day, and our running game did pretty well. State had 4 turnovers but we had 2 fumbles lost so not real pretty but we did fall behind early and that is a big improvement.

Color me surprised at the lack of offense, esp the running game, from the Gators. They looked like the 4 Horseman of old last week but a quick check shows a total of 27 yards early 4th qtr.

Oh and Missouri is crushing them
