Certainly has been some talk about the B10 being superior to the SEC. Coaches poll has 5 SEC teams in the top 10 vs 3 for the B10.

3 consecutive Natty's from 3 different teams and a 8-2 head-to-head post season record the last two years might have something to do with that. Interesting, all 5 non-playoff bowl game wins were as an underdog. It's been quite a lucrative wager recently to bet the Big10 in a bowl game -v- SEC as a dog. Things tend to get sorted out properly on the field

True. I don't care who thinks one conference is superior to the other. I just love watching college football. To paraphrase BT, the games will determine the outcome of the great conference debate. :)

All of these things go in cycles. It would be great to stay on top but it never works that way.

Purdue hired a new AD, from Rice. He immediately makes a statement of what Purdue Athletics is all about. But in doing so called out rival IU . A team that actually has won National Championships.

Every recruit , every student athlete will hear this message repeatedly -- we are here to win championships," McClelland said Thursday during his introductory news conference. "If you don't want to win championships, go to Indiana."

Screw Cignetti. That comment by our new AD was unfortunate and wish he hadn’t said it but it wasn’t as bad (to me of course) as Cignetti’s slam of Purdue last year at his introduction. I’ve never hated IU like I probably should but now nothing would make me happier than for them to be a one hit wonder. o_O

So if I understand you correctly Stu...your coming to the Motherland to see NU beat IU? They always have Runzas on sale on game day.

Just learned USC has lost their startting center for the season due to a freak non contact knee injury. It happens every season but still troublesome for almost any team.

Pure Click Bait but ESPN had an article on the 10 most hated CFB players all time.

Now it's pure subjective speculation, but I have to admit that except for one I agree that they belong on the list.

    1. Steve Spurrier...great coach but some of his comments on opponents, esp Tenn and UGA are classic.
    2. Lane Kiffin...what can you say he's hated every where he's coached.
    3. Johnny Manziel....great college player but a complete ass hole.
    4. The Boz ...another great player, but I forget why I hated hmi, but I did.
    5. 1990 Miami Hurricanes....I don't know how anybody could like those guys. I remember them beating Texas, literally beating us up...they set a record in the Cotton Bowl for Personal Fouls.
6.Notre Dame... I don't get this one, how can you not love the Irish!!
    7.ESPN ...they've ruined Sports!
    8. Tim Tebow...I don't know why I hated him, he's a good guy and a great college player.
    9. Dieon Sanders....a show boat his whole career, and still doing it. Hard to like a guy like him unless he's on your team
    10. Caleb Williams I hated this guy because he decided that getting his nails done the a F#$% ND on them. It was so sweet that in his 1st and last visit to South Bend he was crushed by the ND defense.

Purdue AD told Pat McAfee he guarantees that Purdue is going to be building programs that are better at building championships than he is at trying one liners.

My nephew, Brian ND '90, is dating a Purdue grad and they are going to the ND/Purdue game this year.
