Great looking leaderboard, should be a dogfight. With so many great players in the hunt, somebody is probably gonna have to go low to win. Gotta believe yesterday left a mark on Rory, hard for me to see him recover from that and play well enough today to hold off the likes of Cam, Scotty, Rose, et al. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Jason Day wear the jacket, always liked him, love that he's in contention on Sunday. Should be a great afternoon in Augusta
When is the Masters won?...the back 9 on Sunday. This year's tourney is gearing up to cement that statement. Truth be told, I'm kinda pulling for Rose, then any American after that.
And what are players like Rahm and DeChambeau going to do? Guess they can crawl back to the tour. Should be a warm and friendly welcome in the locker room.
Harbor Town, another course I've played. It's a tough one, narrow fairways, small greens and those $%%Q waste area's!! But it is beautiful. A lot of good scores, weather has been fantastic. Matt Fitzpatrick is in the lead and his putter has been red hot.
Scottie found something today and went really low, so did Brian Haemon. Fitzpatrick still leading though 3 shots over Scottie so they will be the final pair tomorrow. Should make for good TV!
Gary Woodland had the shot of the year today on #18. 204 yds into a good wind bounce and a little roll and we have an Eagle!!! No impact on the tournament but what a shot.
Fitzpatrick choked on his chip and was left with a 22 footer for par, while Scottie his a nearly perfect chip to about 18 inches for par. That sends us to a playoff. At one point it looked like Fitzpatrick was on cruise control for a win, bhen a few errant shots while Scottie was heating up...and a playoff.
Scottie, Scottie, Scottie... (1) Don't let your Caddie hurry you. (2) Fire him after press conference.
