Michigan played a more deliberate offense in 2nd H and finally hustled back on defense to slow down Alabama’s offense. Alabama provided a stiff test for Michigan tonight.

UConn is thrashing Sparty so far. Mr. March meets Mr. April?

Buried Sparty too soon. Game has turned into a dogfight.

Thanks for posting that, Bobda. 2001 is correct. That season Lute's wife Bobbi died of cancer and he took a mid-season leave of absence. The Final Four was in Minneapolis and Arizona boosters purchased billboards that read "Four Bobbi" both there and in Tucson. Lute had played his college ball in Minneapolis (Augsburg College) and he and Bobbi started their family there while Lute was coaching high school ball. It was a beautiful tribute during an emotional time.

And now you know the rest of the story. This is Paul Harvey...............Goodnight.

MI-AL was a 3-point rainstorm in the first half. The second half was more Michigan's style, but Alabama pushed hard until they just ran out of gas at the end, and Michigan's depth kept fresh legs on the court. Credit Alabama for making it a nailbiter all the way.

I didn't stay up to watch the full Duke/LSU women's game, but I see that Duke beat them at the buzzer. They played a great 1st half with LSU but I sort of thought the LSU depth and experience would eventually wear them down. It came close but Bayou Barbie goes home, I'm happy!!

I also didn't see Tenn upset Iowa State. This is Rick Barnes 3rd straight Elite 8. Good for him, he's a class act IMHO. It was his time to leave at Texas, but I'm glad he's found success at Tenn.

Arizona put the hammer down on Purdue in the 2H. Elite team with a lot of weapons and underrated physicality.

Great 4 years for Smith, Loyer, and TKR. Of course, the end was heatbreaking, but in their last game, they left it all on the court. AZ was not going to be denied. Very strong and athletic. They completely took over and imposed their will in the 2nd half.

Plenty of time left for Tenn but M started slow then just exploded. Went on a 21-0 run.

I've been watching UCLA/Duke on the women's side. Duke got out fast on them but UCLA owned the 3rd qtr and UCLA is up 51-47

UCLA wins going away. Back to the final 4. While I don't think they can beat UCONN, they are the team I'd like to see win the Nat'l Championship if Texas doesn't.

What an amazing win by UConn. Horrible pass by Boozer when all he needed to do was hold on to the ball led to a buzzer beater from the logo.

I was kinda shocked at Duke's unforced turnovers late in the 4th quarter, at least twice losing the ball on the dribble to Uconn, and as Bobda said, the ill-advised pass at the end that turned it over and lost the game. They have only themselves to blame. Of course, credit to Uconn for capitalizing on the turnovers.
