Longhorns got crushed by Arkansas, lost to OU to end the season and now on the verge of losing to Ole Miss team that isn't very good...I think they might have lost their way out of the NCAA's.

Who could have predicted that the changes in IU sports, from enduring ugly FB seasons in anticipation of competitive BB seasons to the other way around? IU certainly hit the lottery with the hire of Coach Cignetti but can't seem to do the same in BB as other B10 teams have done. DeVries has a stellar track record, but this season's team, while not a bust, didn't live up to "normal" expectations. I'm guessing he'll get another season or two to ratchet up the competitive level of the program, at least to the point where an NCAA bid won't be in question.

Buckeyes win their first Big Ten Tournament game this afternoon vs Iowa 72-69. We almost gave it away in the final minutes. Not looking forward to playing Michigan again.

Miami (OH) lost to UMass and don't be shocked of this costs them a NCAA bid

It will be an outrage if that happens . IMHO

Duke wins 80-79 over FSU, They really miss their starting guard, who has been lost for tournament play due to injury.

Michigan survived a spirited Buckeyes team today, 71-67. Excellent, competitive game.

We fared far more than I anticipated, but too many matchup problems for my Buckeyes and missed basket baskets in the final minutes. Congratulations Bobda, hope you can go all the way!:D

Very happy with how they competed today. They look to be healthy and happy to see Jake has them rounding into form, but your boys are a load. Gonna be a tough out in the tourney, lotsa size, lotsa weapons inside and out Very tough to defend. Look for them to make a deep run

With the injuries Duke is dealing with, MIchigan is the current favorite to win it all.

Wow what an ending. Az hits a shot at the buzzer to win it. Great game. BDR is probably needing a stiff drink right about now!!

Nobody is happy with the last few weeks. Consensus among my Purdue Sports List guys and gals (several of whom go all the way back to the Prodigy Board days) is that #1 was a bit overrated but that we should be better than we played the last 6 weeks or so. They are proud of Painter and the fact that we actually have a meaningful Senior Day with 3 guys who have stuck around for four years and started every game. Very happy with the first two B1G tournament games. On the other hand some of the facebook groups of "alleged fans" are up in arms, calling for firing Painter, criticizing his substitutions, etc...how dumb can you be? These kids are out there fighting their arses off and deserve more support than they get from these armchair experts. This afternoon we get UCLA. Always a fun game because of John Wooden's close connections to both schools.

Michigan wins Big Ten game with a trey over Wisconsin 68-65 as time expires. The Badgers pretty much won the first half of play, but the Wolverines came back strong in the second half. Excellent game of basketball by both squads.
