You might be correct Sid, this has been an excellent year for Big Ten teams. I am still hoping my Buckeyes at least get an invite?
After the disaster with Iowa this was a pleasant surprise. A decent finish to the season and I think we've got a good shot at dancing
If we can win tomorrow tonight at Penn State and at home vs Indiana Saturday, I think we are in the Big dance.
ACC takes the top 15 teams for their tournament. The other power 4 conferences take all their members. I wonder why the ACC doesn't take all its members
Women's Conference Tournaments are this week and most are starting today. For most of the top 25 rated teams their play in the conference tournaments doesn't affect them getting a NCAA bid, possibly could impact seeding though. FWIW UCONN had another undefeated season. They are the odds on favorites to win it all. UCLA, South Carolina and maybe even Texas and LSU could challenge them
I THINK... I say that with some reservation... the Aggies punched their ticket to the dance with a nice win over Kentucky last night. It's been an up and down 2nd half of the season, but the kids seem to be finding their legs again at the right time.
If the SEC gets 9 bids then I'd agree the Ag's likely are in, but if not 9 then they might need at least 1 win in the SEC tournament. Longhorns are right on the bubble and maybe need 2 wins to grab a 9th bid if it's available.
Well the Aggies have 5 quad 1 wins... and no really terrible losses. Still one game left and then the Conf Tourney which will complete the story, but barring a complete meltdown and terrible losses I think the Aggies are in. Texas appears to be similar, so unless they get waxed in their last two they are probably in as well.
Longhorns are in the Hills tonight vs a good Arkansas squad and I don't expect a win, but they need to play well and be competitive, then beat OU at home. Bad loss at Arkansas and early out in the SEC tournament will keep us waiting on a favorable outcome on selection Sunday.
Nearly 70% on 3's is a formula pretty much makes any team hard to beat. But then it's also hard to shoot 70% on 3's. Are the Buckeyes typically a high % 3 point shooting team?
Not consistently which is a major problem, especially when everyone one seems to wants to shoot treys. If you are on, you win, if not you lose and that has been our problem all season long.
