All I request is that the selection committee go down to Tally and pick up the 1993 NC trophy. FSU and ND ended up with the same records and won the head to head the second to last game.
I'm sure that the committee was impressed with Miami's win over Bethune-Cookman.

Was it that gum-flapping retard Heather Dinich?
Gawd I can't stand that one. How did she get that job, much less keep it????

She's the one time president of the football writers association. She's not just a talking head. She's a talking head with actual influence

I expected Notre Dame to make the playoffs. Kind is shocked they didn’t.

Hoping the Gators can get back in the discussion in the near future.

I'm not. Why let the system that spends all year advocating against you to monetize your brand? Screw them. I back the team, staff and AD on this.

Well the main issue is that we give upb15 bowl practices where younger returning players who will be starters next year get extra work and development.

While I don't know the number of opt outs we would have had you can be sure it would have been 5 tob10 .

I get the frustration but this to me is the old cutting off your nose to spite your face .

Yeah, I think they may have let the emotions of the moment back themselves into a corner, but they are big boys and get to make these decisions.

I hadn’t thought about this and think I have to agree with you.

They have plenty of practice time
Even Saban talks about the practice schedule being antiquated. This is strictly punishing the system that screwed them over.

Why go to a bowl game that is nothing more that a scrimage between reserves? I don't think fans will be particularly interested in going and the players might as well spend time with their families at Christmas. By the way, is that announcement for real?

I just browsed thru all the news on this....with the brush off motivation, portal, ND $$, and returning starters, I'm gonna put 500 on ND to win the NC in 2026.

You go to get those reserves playing time and practice to help with their development.

The net result is that the media is going to trash the Irish for the next 2 weeks.

Terry, the team decision has given rise to an intangible, an incredibly high level of motivation for 2026 - a giant chip on its shoulder - that will more than make up for skipping a meaningless bowl game in 2025. I believe the 2026 team will play on a different level to prevent leaving its fate in the biased, self-motivated hands of others.

I agree with Sid. Last year we played more games than anyone but OSU. Let the upperclassmen have a holiday season and some meaningful time off.

The Irish women went to FSU and destroyed them yesterday 93-58. We were deadly from the 3 point line and had 5 players in double figures. Our top portal players, Cowels and Moore both played very well and hopefully are now both fully healthy and ready to continue to be big time contributors. Moore was 5 of 7 from 3pt land that is much needed.

I still expect us to struggle against teams with bigger front lines like what Ole Miss has, but we should be a top half of the ACC and a NCAA team.
