Men's soccer goes down to Akron, 1-0. Similar to the ladies.

Women's basketball is playing Central Michigan tonight.

Irish Men lose to KU this afternoon, not a big surprise. 71-61, Burton had 24 points but not much help from his team. We did out shoot them from the FT line, something we could have used vs Ohio State. But a horrible 17% from 3 point land sealed the loss for us.

Irish women in a workman like win over CMU 83-51. As usual leading scorer was Hannah Hidalgo.

Vanderbilt transfer Lyanna Moore who was injured to start the season and has been worked into the lineup slowly had a good night shooting the 3 with 4 of 8, and Giselle Sanchez was 2 of 3. The rest of the team was 2-12, that needs to be fixed as the women's game is hard to win unless you can shoot the 3.

Next up is the ACC/SEC Challenge vs currently unbeaten Ole Miss on Dec 4th. We don't have a game till then while Ole Miss has 2 games before our meet up. We might be rusty and they won't and it's at Oxford.

Irish Men get the win vs Rutgers today. 68-63. Burton the leading scorer, but heralded freshman, Jalen Haralson, is starting to make his mark. He was the 2nd leading scorer for the Irish. It appears that we will have 1 more game and the opponent will be determined by the games today/tonight.

I expect Haralson, a 5* recruit, to consistently improve as the season progresses. He played locally here in Fishers before he transferred to LaLumiere. I was shocked when we landed him. Kudos to Coach Shrews.

Well Houston took care of business and beat the Irish, but we put up a pretty good fight after getting down by 22 points early and it was looking like a 40 pt blow out.

We got it to 4 point game late before they pulled away to a 66-56 win.

Haralson and Burton had there moments, but the Cougars are a bit much for this Irish squad

On the good news side the Irish picked up an elite LB, Amarri Irvin, class of 2027.

He's the son of former Michigan State RB, Sedrick Irvin.

From an article on Irish Sports Daily.

The Irish now have a pair of highly-rated linebackers in the class as Irvin joins Ellis McGaskin‍. They also have an elite quarterback in Teddy Jarrard‍, a legacy offensive lineman with an extremely high ceiling in James Halter‍ as well as safety Khalil Terry‍, defensive lineman Richie Flanigan‍ - another legacy prospect - and long snapper Sean Kraft‍.

Notre Dame is poised to sign its best class in recent memory next Wednesday with the 2026 group, but the 2027 class could end up challenging it a year from now.

Men vs Missouri at South Bend
Women vs Ole Miss at Oxford.

Last year the SEC won both men's and women's challenge overall.

Irish men lost to Georgia in Athens

Irish taking care of business out in Palo Alto. 28-0 late 2nd qtr.

Bad news, a Tree kneed Love in the ribs when he was on the ground and he's been out since then. Had a great 1st drive but since then it's Price and Williams at RB. Most of us hoped Love would have a big game and make a case for the Heisman, but can't make that case from the sideline.

    35=3 Irish at halftime.
Leonard Moore got a pick late and we paid it off with a quick drive. Price has filled in very well for Love and Williams played well when he was in the game.

Love was back in the game late in the half and had one carry. But Freeman indicated at the half that he's hurting and that he's going to leave it up to him if he plays in the 2nd half. He's got a rib protector on but I don't think anybody wants him to make his injury worse.

If we don't make the CFP, this will be his last game for the Irish.

Irish are going to win of course but Stanford has outplayed us in the 2nd half, even when they put in Rick Mirer's son at QB, and he's never taken a snap, he drove them the field for a score. Our defense was uninspired, and we kept the 1st team guys in through the 3rd qtr.

BTW announcers are indignant that the Irish 2nd and 3rd teamers are still trying to score.

I don't often complain about announcers but these guys are terrible.
