Purdue wins 87-80. Braden Smith was spectacular and the Boilermakers really have some very good inside players and they out rebounded the Tide by quite a lot.
That was quite a game, looks like Purdue survived a close one 87-80 on the road. I could not watch the game live due to Disney and You tube TV dispute.
Was a great game...could have gone either way. Was happy with how we showed up. We got some breaks. First road win against a top 10 team since 1982, they said. Hard to believe but I guess it's so.
Kind of and odd game tonight between Duke and West Virginia, women's basketball. There was a bit of a scrum at the end of the 1st half, Duke player taunted a WVU player who shoved her then a lot of shoving, but the thing was the WVU players on the bench ran on the court to "support' their teammates. It's an automatic ejection. They had 6 girls ejected. They only had 5 players left to go the 2nd half, yet they out played Duke in the second half and won by 8 going away.
I agree, Terry. Weird game. I don't envision Duke athletes being undisciplined, but apparenly it was a Duke player who initiated the scrum. In the end, it was WV who paid the price but they won anyway. Go figure.
Alabama has played 2 top 10 teams and will play 2 more top 20 teams in the month of November. I hope this strategy works out in the long run.
Well we won at home over Notre Dame 64-63 in the final seconds, but it was not one of our better games. The Irish led most of the contest, and we were content to shoot treys that were not gettin in the basket in the first half.
I didn't watch but given the state of our program I consider a close road loss a win and something to build on going forward.
Looking at the posts on ND boards, a lot of unhappy campers with the play of Markus Burton in the closing minutes.
That's unfortunate Terry. He is a gifted shooing guard and just getting started. Too bad the fans have to be so demanding. The coach's son looked very good as well!
