Oaklahoma Longhorns knocked out by Virgina as ACC Champion and OU by Memphis as the highest ranked Group of 5.. They need to get rid of the rule where the highest ranked Group of 5 team is invited. A lot of talk this week about how could the committee rank ND ahead of Miami, both with 2 losses and Miami wins the head to head. Well they put Miami down at #18 so that's the answer. Of course a lot will change as we finish out the season. Texas for instance has games vs Georgia and Texas A&M, win both and they are in for sure, of course that's a big ask of this Longhorn squad.
I'll be interested in their strength of schedule rankings. They did say the Buckeyes are #33 and Oregon was #40. I don't know about the rest of the top 12 teams.
Reese Davis who I never figured as a ND lover, said if you go by eye test that the Irish are top 5. Not sure even I see that right now. I think top 10 is where we belong right now.
