Welp, we still can’t run the ball, but Simpson and our wide receivers are really clicking. Our defense is inconsistent. A win is a win. 4 wins in a row against ranked opponents is something to carry us forward.

No clue kp, is it all of them? Is it that he was one of those HS kids who can't live up to their clippings? I of course watched ND/USC so I didn't see the Texas game, but looking at the stats and the fact that it's a very mediocre Kentucky team very unimpressive.

BTW they just said that your coach is 19-3 all time vs ranked opponents, that's impressive. Maybe he'll work out for you guys.

Well Penn State loses again, this time to Iowa.
UCLA wins again, took care of Maryland and now are 3-1 in the Big 10.

This is the craziest college football season I can remember.
I think Norvell may be out at FSU.

Alabama gets a week off from playing ranked teams with South Carolina, then right back at it with #10 and #14.

How does the same team that pushed Alabama all over the field, now look like a Bottom10 team? Norvell has to go, there is something wrong with his culture.

There are others. I agree, Tim. This season certainly is not going according to script.

It was Div III but this young man had quite a day!!

Curry College running back Montie Quinn just kept going for his Division III school Saturday.

By the end of it, Quinn had taken down an NCAA record for any division by rushing for 522 yards on 20 carries while tacking on seven touchdowns in a 71-27 win over Nichols.

I think Alabama had a hand in making FSU look better than they really are. I was dumbfounded by our lackluster performance, especially on offense. I have really been amazed at the turnaround of both teams since then.

Don, I guess I kinda disagree....393 yds passing, 36 of 42...over 500 yards total...34-0 shutout. If that's conservative then so is Bernie Sanders. ;)

Stu, I think in my mind, all of those short passes did add up, but the run game was not contributing much of an effort and that does concern me moving into the last half of the remaining games. Tate had a super game and Smith couldn't hold onto a pass in his hands for a TD. Frankly I think Tate has moved ahead of Smith as a receiver at this juncture.

Smith has 47 receptions (vs. 28). Smith has 728 yds (vs. 389). Smith has 15.5 yds per reception (vs. 13.9). Smith has 8 TD's (vs. 3). Smith longest is 58 yd. (vs. 41.) Tate is a great receiver and had a great game...but I reject your premise that he has moved ahead of Smith, who BTW is the one always double covered. ;)

Well Tate did have 111 yd on 6 receptions with 2 TD's Saturday. Smith had 97 yd on 9 receptions and no TD's. So you're right about the short passes to Smith. BTW Sayin's rating was 195.7.

Rick Neuheisel said today that if Arch Manning had Sayin's stats they would already be awarding him the Heisman Trophy and not even bother to invite anybody but him to NYC.
