I guess this might be good news for the Longhorns. Maybe bad news for the Sooners.

The status of John Mateer for Saturday's Allstate Red River Rivalry game against Texas remained up in the air Wednesday as the star Oklahoma quarterback was listed as questionable on the initial SEC availability report for this week.

Mateer is recovering from Sept. 24 hand surgery, and sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel earlier this week that Mateer is pushing for an earlier-than-expected return against the Longhorns on Saturday.

I see that the NCAA is going to let college players bet on Pro Sports. I don't personally see this as a good thing, but then I don't gamble on sports anyway. Most I've ever done is having to send Bobda a Big Ass Pecan Pie!! :D

I saw a rumour on another board that UNC and BB are discussing a buyout. BB ought to pay them for all the crap he and the girlfriend have brought with them to Chapel Hill

Also a former player for Stanford, whose now a big time Hedge Fund guy, has donated 50M to the football program. It's gong to take more than that to revive the program, IMHO. They have to go out and get a coach sometime soon, and I wonder who Andrew Luck is thinking about as even with the 50M it's not like that's an attractive job right now.

It was reported that during NC’s bye week, he and his girlfriend went to Martha’s Vinyard and his assistant coaches were able to contact him. Why did he take the job if he has no interest in coaching his team? He has generational wealth so money wasn’t the reason unless his young girlfriend is really high maintenance financially.

Funny story. What stood out to me - other than the grandpa going to trial and learning that he wasn't even charged - is the unthinking asst. AD at Auburn, who was in charge of facilities no less, turning on the hoses and likely ruining the grass field. I wonder how much it cost to repair vs. replacing a few patches of torn out sod. Would kp say, that's Auburn? :D

Let's face the problem, almost every team is at risk , especially on road games. The Illini could be a problem for us tomorrow in Champaign!

With one loss already they are all huge. We have played 3 ranked teams and counting Missouri we have 4 ranked teams left on the schedule.
