Given that Arch is a frequent topic of conversation currently and - I expect - in the future, I thought I'd offer this post I saw on Instagram:
Huge upset last night, UVA takes down FSU. Fans were reportedly injured in the wild storming of the field.
A couple of surprises so far. Wake Forest is beating Ga.Tech 17-3 and USC is down 14-10 at the half to Illinois.
After getting humiliated last week, I wondered if the Illini’s would implode. But, they rallied and beat USC with a last play field goal. Credit to Beilema for getting his team off the canvas and back to the W column.
A couple of tight games in the Big 10. Iowa/IU tied at the half and OSU only up 7-3 on Washington at the half. I'm watching LSU/Ole Miss and the Rebs are up 10-7. Nussmeir, at least to me hasn't looked like an AA QB. Lot of penalties in this game.
Buckeyes did not look very sharp in the first half, but recovered somewhat in the second half. We won 24-6 on the road after a bye week. I am not too concerned about the outcome. Pur freshman back Bo Jackson, has cemented himself as the starter at running back. Our defense yesterday was pure gold.
I didn't see the 2nd half of LSU/Loe Miss but it had to be a great win for Ole Miss and a really bad loss for LSU. But IMHO there are a lot of SEC teams that are at pretty much the same level, parity, so there are going to be a lot o 2 , 3, and 4 loss teams. So 1 loss on the road is not a killer for LSU
Oregon/PSU is a slugfest 3-3 at the half. Alabama definitely has the upper hand vs UGA. Just threw a screen play to the OT who just bulldozed the Dawgs. Scored on the now 24-14 Tide. I wonder if kp is happy with the play so far! Ty Simpson looking good.
Talk about a turn of events. PSU gets a big fumble recovey, clearly the RB fumbled...but they went back to replay and caught the RB knee "grazing" the top of the grass so he was down before the fumble and they score in 2 plays. 10-7 Oregon.
UGA has come back and it's 24-21, with a wide open UGA receiver down field drops a TD pass that hit him in the hands or they'd be leading. Tide now gets the ball back and we'll see.
2nd time Georgia’s decision to go for it on 4th down in the red zone bit him in the ass. Before Kirby does this again he needs to ask himself, “What would Vince Dooley do?” Threw away 6 points in a nail biting game.
Switching back and forth and both these games are coming down to the end. NIts are in the redzone and there is 2 minutes remainng. Alabama hasn't been able to do much on offense and UGA is just down 3 points
Tide holds on and gets the win, Smart was out coached tonight. A really stupid personal foul late by UGA #1 was another big mistake.
