I remember when A&M played at ND in 2000. They brought a huge number of fans. I'd expect the same tomorrow. I sure hope ND fans have gotten less turncoat with their tickets, but I'm not optimistic.
Well 2 big plays, one by each team. A blocked punt for a TD by the Irish and a 86 yard catch and run by the Aggies and we are tied at 7=7
Nice drive by the Irish, helped by a stupid late hit out of bounds by the Aggies. Big play fo Eli Rairdon and then Jardarian Price finishes off the drive with a great TD run. 14-7 Irish.
The annual meeting/reunion of Holtz’s Heroes (foundation formed by his former players) met today before the game. Coach announced that it’s his last trip to ND. He chose 12 former players to join him in his suite. My son, who’s been the sec.-treas. of the foundation from the beginning, was one of the 12.
Tight game, Irish still up 17-14 but the Aggies have moved the ball easily through the air for 2 scores.
24-14 Irish, 36 yd TD pass Carr to Love. Great fingertip catch by Love and then nobody was going to stop him.
Aggie player looks to be severely injured, maybe a neck injury. They are carting him off the field. It's the awful side of football, hope he's OK
Right now the Aggie passing game is eating up the Irish defense. Reed is on his way to a very big game unless we can get a handle on him.
Awful finish by the Irish, CJ Carr was walking around and clapped his hands in frustration and the center snapped the ball, luckily Love fell on it but it was 4th down so the Aggies got 2 plays off and missed a long FG attempt. Irish get the ball to start the half but they better figure out something to stop the Aggie passing game or we are losing this game.
Great punt by the Irish pinned the Aggies back on the 1/2 yd/line. 3 and out and a good return sets us up on the 30 and Jadarian Price finishes off the drive with a very nice TD run. 31-28 Irish.
Irish fail on 4th down at the 50, that's a turnover. They went wildcat and Love tried to run it outside and got no where. I didn't mind the Wildcat as much as outside run instead of up the middle.
