Well I missed that it's a self imposed penalty. So they call the shots, NCAA has yet to rule.

House settlement has to be coming soon.

Plus the university president entered the transfer portal and is now the president of U of Florida. Apparently the regents wanted him to take a harder line against Trump’s DEI initiatives and he said bye bye.

Moore’s infraction dealt with deletion of text messages from Stallions. The messages were recovered and supposedly not incriminating so what the NCAA eventually decides to do with Moore may differ from what action they may take re the actual violation of stealing signs.

It doesn’t matter anymore. It has been dragged out for so long that the only message is that it’s okay to steal signs.

So what? Unlike stealing other teams signs, paying players is no longer illegal.

That's my thought, somebody put a mic in front of him and he said a bunch of irrelevant stuff that sounds a lot like whining to me. Esp coming from a guy who had a lot of portal players who came with him and they didn't do it for free.

Wnder why he didn't mention Ohio St. or Mich. Oh that's right, they're in his conference. Funny that the last two National Champs can compete with the big spenders.

I think he may be seeing the writing on the wall. His team made it to the playoffs because of a scheduling fluke. All it takes is a ranked opponent and he is in trouble. ;)

“Nick Saban is expected to be named co-chair of the Presidential Commission on college sports, along with a “prominent businessman with deep ties to college athletics," a source told @TheAthletic.”

It certainly needs some new direction, whether or not this is the answer I don't know but somebody has to make a start.

Saban is universally respected and is the natural choice to lead the effort and people will take his work very seriously. Curious to see his co-Chair and hope they work well together for the interests of the game. God knows we need it....

I think it will all depend on how much control he has. I don’t think he does well without “buy-in” up and down the chain of command.

Much as I respect Saban I’d never stay at his BnB.

Of all the things my favorite team has to deal with, I'm glad this isn't one of them.

The University of North Carolina issued a statement Friday saying Bill Belichick's girlfriend is a welcome guest at football facilities after reports claimed she had been banned by the school.

Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of the Tar Heels' coach, has gained notoriety for her assertive approach to Belichick's media presence and branding, including a back-and-forth during an interview with CBS two weeks ago. But North Carolina made it clear her role as Belichick's de facto publicist has not impacted her access to the football program.

"While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities," the school said in the statement. "Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick's personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University."

2 Million dollar NIL deal for this 5 star OT.

Miami football landed a big-time commitment on Tuesday, as coach Mario Cristobal earned a pledge from the highest-ranked recruit of his career.

Five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1-ranked player in the 2026 class according to 247Sports' Composite rankings, chose the Hurricanes over Georgia, Oregon and Ohio State on Tuesday.

I agree Don. It is incumbent on the NCAA (or someone) to instill some semblance of order. Right now it is unregulated free agency and for me that is unsustainable.

I agree it is unsustainable in its present form. There must be federal legislation as everytime the NCAA makes an effort to establish order, at least in terms of compensation, they get bashed over the head by one court or another for illegally trying to limit the earnings of the star of good old State U. My hope is that Saban takes the job and his group can get some workable recommendations on legislation that can get bipartisan support in Congress. Not holding my breath tho

    Good move.

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- The College Football Playoff's power brokers are nearing consensus to change the seeding process next season and eliminate first-round byes for conference champions, sources told CBS Sports.

The "straight seeding" proposal has gained support from the ACC and Big 12 in recent weeks, sources said. On Wednesday, ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said for the first time that the format "may be the right thing for us to consider." CFP administrators must approve the proposal, which could happen within the next month, sources said. The proposal requires unanimous approval from the 10 FBS conferences and Notre Dame to be enacted for the 2025-26 season.
