There were a lot of big games yesterday on the women's side.

Texas took down South Carolina in Austin, and Tenn coming off the big win over UConn had to go to the Bayou and face LSU and lost. I watched a lot of the Tenn/LSU game and it was really good, and Bayou Barbie kept her jacket on so the refs must have pleased her.

UCLA remains the only unbeaten on the women's side and will be very tough to beat with Lauren Betts in the middle, she's really got post play down. Irish are up to #2, and Texas slipped into #3 just a slot ahead of South Carolina.

Auburn held on to #1 by a mere 9 points over Alabama. They still have to play each other, twice, this Friday at Tuscaloosa and then the season final at Auburn.

Tide will be in Austin tonight, Longhorns not likely to get a win. We're a pretty average team this year.

Big game is Tenn vs Kentucky. That should be a barn burner.

Great game UK/Tenn and Kentucky prevails after a really good effort by the Vols. 75-64.

Michigan upsets Purdue in a very tight Big Ten game. Indiana upsets MSU!

In an ironic twist, Purdue should be thanking IU for upsetting MSU and leaving Purdue in 2nd place in the conference - for the moment - by 1/2 game over MSU despite the loss to MI. Had MSU won, they'd be tied with MI for first with Purdue in 3rd. At this late stage of the season, it's all about seeding for the B10 tournament.

That IU win kept Izzo from breaking Knights B1G record for wins.

As I expected the Tide took care of the Longhorns in Austin,by 20 points.

We have a losing record, but Lunardi has pretty much the entire SEC making the tournament, so our lousy record doesn't hurt much.

Every football program now has a GM or the equivalent. Not many basketball programs,I think. Duke has one.

I wonder if they will start to be common?

Rodney Terry, Texas coach, was booed when he came on the court pre-game for the Alabama game.I think he won't make it. Nice guy, but program going the wrong direction. More pain likely ahead as Kentucky comes to town Saturday night.

Big women's game out west tonight when the undefeated #1 UCLA Bruins take on #6 USC. Both teams have POY candidates in Lauren Betts of UCLA and Ju Ju Watkins of USC.

I forgot, top 10 match up tonight in Lexington. #3 Texas v #8 Kentucky. Longhorns women are Final 4 type of Team.

Longhorns handled Kentucky last night in Lexington.

USC upset UCLA so there are no more undefeated teams in women's or men's college basketball. JuJu Watkins had a spectacular game, was a 1 woman gang last night.

I see where the Hoosiers gave UCLA a run for their money last night in Bloomington 72-68. No doubt this has been a trying season for Indiana fans. Of course it has not been much better for my Buckeye either!

How surprising is it that Michigan is sitting at the top of the Big 10?
