Maybe Don, Buckeye T, and I should have a topic. Y'all got all those beautiful pictures from ND posted on the ND site. I'll start;
I spent a good part of my time of my time at University Hall. I can still remember climbing up those old rickety staircases. I always enjoyed the outside of the building.
Why were you at University Hall so much? If I had 5 classes at Texas I was likely in 5 different buildings.
I haven't been on very many campuses, but they were all beautiful IMHO. One of my favorites was William and Mary.
Your ladies basketball team is "balling" out this year Don. A lot of deserved attention has gone to Big Ten newcomers UCLA and USC this season. But league stalwart Ohio State is looking like one of the best teams in the country. The Buckeyes join UCLA, USC and Maryland in the top 10 of ESPN's women's college basketball Power Rankings this week at No. 9. Ohio State has its highest ranking so far this season and is one of three unbeaten teams left, along with UCLA and LSU. The Buckeyes' biggest tests are still ahead: They've yet to face the Bruins, Trojans or Terps. They will play Maryland twice (Jan. 23 and March 2), and travel to Los Angeles for their UCLA and USC matchups Feb. 5-8. Ohio State has defeated just two ranked teams, neither of which are in this week's Top 25 poll. Still, Ohio State is 16-0 overall and 5-0 in the league. The Buckeyes have won or shared the Big Ten regular-season title 17 times and hope to be in the mix again this season.
That was a nice win for the ladies last night over Wisconsin. Fans are disenchanted with the TV coverage is largely unavailable as the contract to televise is Big Ten Plus. That requires a special streaming charge which many fans decline to pay. Again its all about money and not fans.
I only had one class at UHall...a Saturday morning Philosophy Lab of all things! Mercifully, NOT during the fall! I seem to remember - as best I can - for whatever reason (), it wasn't one of my most stellar academic results. Also, to Don's comment, University Hall was the original building on campus in 1870 and for years after, remained the only building on campus. Perhaps the reason Don spent so much time in U-Hall was perhaps Don's time on campus could have overlapped with that era when there was only one building on campus ????
Spent most of my time in Graves Hall in the ancient days. Now that I am subsidizing half the docs at University Hospital I can look down from their offices and see it sitting there generating memories.
All jokes aside, I think my memories of U Hall were unfavorable due to a class for US Constitutional Law, climbing the never ending stairwell and a unknown professor, who continually fell asleep while leaning his four legged chair, against the blackboard!
Speaking of subsidizing docs at University Hospital, here's one of my fav pics at University Hospital... soon to be Doc (graduates this spring) daughter Kate doing an anesthesia rotation at the Wexner in the fall got a pic with Brutus for her Dad!
Amen to that Sid! Thank God she takes after her Momma, for her looks and her brains for sure. She's a Tarheel to her core but she finds room for her Daddys's Buckeyes and her Eagles....she's a Philly girl as well
I see where Devon Brown, backup QB, has opted to sign with California for his remaining two years of eligibility.
Don I keep reading that OU is after Jim Knowles to be their DCoord. What's the talk in Columbus about this? I can't imagine him leaving for more money, but is there some family connection he would be closer to at OU? Jim Knowles finally asked about Oklahoma defensive coordinator rumors
