Xichigan is on the Ohio 5 yard line in the closing seconds of a game tied 14 - 14 and prays for inspiration. Harbaugh looks to the heavens and says "God what play should I call." God answers "throw a flat pass to the right". The QB calls the play and it is intercepted and returned all the way for a touchdown giving Ohio State the win. Harbaugh once again looks to the heavens and says "God why did you call that play". God pauses and says "Hey Woody why did we call that play?"
21 points seems a bit much in a rivalry game like this and M coming off a 50 point offensive explosion vs Northwestern last week.
The interesting thing is comparing the high point spread with the relatively low over/under of 42.5. Looks like Vegas sees this something like a 35-7 rout for OSU. Michigan’s offense is improving but the Buckeye’s defense looked frightening last Saturday against a really good Indiana offense. Also think our secondary will have a hard time dealing with the three NFL receivers the Buckeyes put on the field combined with the fact that Howard’s mobility may reduce the effectiveness of M’s quality defensive line and blitzing.
Anything that outsiders predict or not predict, never seems to come into play. I am not looking for a blowout just a win!
Living life in a pressure cooker. Re his father’s death, Day was 9-years-old when his father committed suicide.
Whoa, I haven't cared much for Day from an outside-the-OSU-family perspective. After reading Bobda's post, I instantly changed my mind. I can't fathom a young boy having to experience such a tragedy.
There used to be a saying, Bobda can correct me though if I'm wrong, but that 9 out of 10 Big Ten girls are beautiful, the 10th goes to Michigan! Is it 8 out of 10 now?
Little David is in the 5th grade. Yesterday morning when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up; fireman, policeman, salesman, etc. The teacher noticed that little David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so she asked him about his father. "My father's an exotic dancer in a gay bar and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offers really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and do it with him for money." The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some coloring, and took little David aside to ask him, "Is that really true about your father?" "No," said David, "He coaches for University of Michigan football, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids." ~ Gobble Gobble
