Traveling across the country has proven problematic for B1G teams. Wisky, MSU, Mi and NW got smacked traveling west while Washington, UCLA and USC (2) had rough trips heading east. Now, PSU looks like they are going to have a long flight home.
Horrible clock mgmt by Riley and then Moss misses a wide open receiver and the ball is tipped and an INT. PSU fails on a Hail Mary. 30-30 and we go to OT.
Irish finish it off 49-7. Game ended with the backups on something like the 10yard line. Stanford is not very good and everyth8ng worked for the Irish today. Nobody knows why Jeter (kicker) disappeared and didn't play after some point in the 1st qtr.
really good game in the 1st half at Oregon. Ducks up 1 22-21 The shock is going on in Knoxville where the once unstoppable Vols have only 7 points late in the 3rd qtr. They are down to the Gators 10-7
I think the circumstances were quite a bit different. I don’t think Smart even realized that he was pushing anyone much less an opponent player. Woody Hayes approached, grabbed and then punched the opposing player and his own assistant coaches had to pulled him away.
Surprised by OSU’s play calling at the end. I thought they were in FG position and would grind out a few yards on the ground before attempting a game winning FG. Instead, a pass play resulting in offensive PI took them out of FG range. While the circumstances are not identical, Kirby was several feet away from the MSU player, and appeared to be looking in his and the ref’s direction as the player & ref were near each other. As he moved forward he gave the kid a hard shove so that he could get closer to the ref he was yelling at. He was definitely looking at the kid when he shoved him. How could he not realize that someone wearing a MSU uniform and helmet was not an opposing player? It may not be a Woody situation but still not a good thing for a coach to be putting hands on an opposing player.
LSU wins in dramatic fashion in OT. LSU QB throws a TD on the 1st play in OT, after Ole Miss was stopped with just a FG.
Ohio State-Oregon. Heavyweight Ali-Frazier type battle. Every once in a long while I watch a game where I hate to see one team lose. That happened last night. I feel for the Ohio State QB, but he doesn't need to hang his head. He played a great game as did Gabriel. I can't imagine Ohio State being any lower than #4, possibly switching places with Oregon and "falling" to #3.
The big question with the Gators is who is our next coach going to be? Lane Kiffin is the favorite at GatorCountry.
