Half way point sort of in the season, hard to imagine it's gone this fast!

But as conference play is now going full on every weekend, lots of important games.

    1. Alabama @ Vanderbilt Tide should Roll in Nashville.

    2. Texas - Bye Another week to get Quinn Ewers healthy. Arch might be the more talented QB, but Ewers has the experience and is a very talented QB in his own right.

    3. Ohio State vs Iowa The always tough Hawkeyes come to Columbus, will be interested to read The San Diego Kid's write up. Buckeyes should win, but might get a really good game from Iowa.

    4. Tenn @ Ark The Vols going to the Hills might be a good game, they have looked unbeatable so far this year, might be a tough game. Vols should win though.

    5. Georgia vs Auburn The Dawgs get the dumpster fire run by Hugh Freeze between the hedges, they shouldn't have much trouble with the Plainsmen/War Eagles.

    6. Oregon vs Michigan State The Spartans make the trip to Eugene, will be a long ride home.

    7. Penn State vs UCLA Bruins aren't very good, the long road trip to Beaver Stadium which will be full to the brim and rocking won't end well for them.

    8. Miami @ CAL Long road trip for the Hurricanes, CAL not a great team but a solid team, Miami just barely escaped with a last second controversy at home. Might be primed for a let down in Berkley.

    9. Missouri @ Texas A&M I wonder if Connor Weigman is 100% finally or will the Ag's still be going with the backup QB. Either way this is a must win game for the Aggies and there will be a big and loud crowd. I expect another game something like the Notre Dame game. Ag's get it done and pull the upset.

    10. Michigan @ Washington. The Huskies are a shell of the team that made the playoffs last year, new coach, new QB, lots of new players and they lost to Rutgers last weekend. One thing the Washington staff doesn't have to worry much about is a dynamic Michigan passing game. It's old school Michigan and should be enough.

    Other games.

Navy @ Air Force The first game in the Commander in Chiefs Trophy series. The Mids QB is having a great year, may be the best Navy QB in quite awhile. Air Force not very good this year.

Army @ Tulsa The Cadets another academy team who is off to a great start with a QB who is having a great season so far.

Ole Miss @ South Carolina The Rebs coming off the stunning loss to Kentucky travel to a dangerous South Carolina team. They better put that Kentucky game behind them or loss #2 is coming up.

Indiana @ Northwestern. The Hoosiers are off to a great start 5-0! Northwestern is coming off a bye week and a loss to a mediocre Washington team. Can IU go to 6-0? You bet they can.

Rutgers @ Nebraska The Huskers only have that close loss to Illinois on the record but they didn't look great in the win vs a really bad Purdue team that fired their OCoord after that game. RU might be a pretty good team and give the Huskers more than they can handle. Will be the 401st straight sellout in Lincoln!

USC @ Minnesota The Trojans were down to Whisky but came alive and got the win last week, the Gophers even at home aren't very good. USC should enjoy their trip to the Midwest.

UCF @ Florida Gators can not afford to lose to UCF, if they do Billy Napier under go spontaneous combustion! The Knights aren't great team but a decent team, Colorado's Sanders the QB lit them up last week, but Graham Mertz isn't to be confused with him. Might be a pretty good game, you know that UCF has had this game circled on the calendar for the last year.

Lot's of other good games this week.

I felt like maybe I over reacted to some criticism of the Buckeyes in the first half of the MSU game. With our first three games there were not many challenges. However MSU came out full force and we appeared to be more on the defense than I anticipated. As the game progressed, we were able to use newer players and our defense began to assert itself. I was happy t see Coach day use multiple players and that was very encouraging. One never knows when an injury can cause a serious problem to arise. By games end I felt we were very much improved and much stronger with our depth levels. Looking forward to the Iowa game this week at home.

I see that DJU has been replaced at QB for FSU, reportedly for injury reasons.

Big, big win for the Aggies.

    Army and Navy roll.

SMU goes to Louisville and gets a big road win.

While I expect you guys to win, it's still pretty shocking to be down 9 points to the 'dores at this point. I blame it on Big Game hangover

We have given up over 50 points in the last 4 quarters. Our defense is vulnerable to the run.

If Vandy punches in another TD, it’s over.

And they can’t. I think it’s over unless they fumble or throw an int

Oh well. Our defense just couldn’t do it today. Now we have to determine how we handle this loss.

Absolutely stunning. Vandy’s offense had Alabama on its heels the entire game.

This is Vanderbilts win of the century and they deserve this win. They flat out beat us.

This Tenn/Ark game is another shocker, the unstoppable Vol offense so far has been stuffed by the Ark defense. Also the Ark offense has played keep away but they keep going for it on 4h down and not making it and missing a FG. 3-0 at the half.
