I blame the comeback on our coaches. It was a classic case of taking your foot off of the gas. Our offense went into hibernation. We also did not manage the clock well at all.

That was a win that worked for both teams. Alabama got the win and deserved the win, Georgia made the big comeback to make it close and proved that they are a Championship level team. I doubt if the rankings do much more than flip flop them with the Tide. I predict Tex,Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Tenn will be the Top 5.

Milroe to the top of the Heisman list.

Milroe completed 27 of 33 passes for 374 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 117 yards and two more scores. He is the first player in FBS history with 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns against an Associated Press top-five opponent, according to ESPN Research.

If you made a Hollywood movie with that script, everyone would say that couldn't happen. Time and again Georgia converted 4th downs. Got to feel happy for Brown after he looked so bad on the earlier long pass to the one. It was so entertaining to see real football after having to sit throught lollypops and kisses from South Bend.

Well, I’ve been a former Notre Dame coach, and now an Ohio State player. With the membership of this forum Michigan, Texas, Nebraska, A&M, Tennessee, and Florida are all still up for grabs.

I was very happy with how Arizona played on both sides of the ball last night. I realize Rising was held out even though he had been cleared, but it made sense because the Wildcats hadn't shown much of anything offensively in their first three games and Utah has a bye this week. The back-up Wilson is a good QB but he is a true freshman and picks have been his problem (2 against Okie State in a win and 2 against UA last night).

Coach Brennan had closed down the press a couple weeks ago, and just before gametime we learned that OC Dino Babers had not called plays in practice during the week, with the responsibility assigned to Matt Adkins, the passing game coordinator and tight ends coach. The offense still has work to do, but the offensive improvement last night (at least between the 20s) was obvious, particularly in the running game and use of tight ends.

I love DC Duane Akina (Terry has to know who he is), and the defense really responded to his challenge last night, with numerous short-yardage stops and pass break-ups at critical points in the game.

The team still has a ways to go, and may be no better than 7-5 or 8-4 this season, but I'm encouraged.

"we learned that OC Dino Babers had not called plays in practice"

Yeah I coulda told ya about that. Babers appears to be a better head man, than OC (he was terrible while at A&M) and it appears he hasnt improved.

September is done, a few observations.

Irish were overrated in the pre-season

Kentucky is a Jekyll and Hyde team

Indiana might be a really good Big 10 team, certain an excellent start to the season

The Big 12 is wide open as to who might win. Unless Cam Rising returns at Utah then Utah will win!

Is Arch Manning the better QB than Quinn Ewers?

The top 5 of Texas, Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia are head and shoulders above the fray.
The "new" Pac12 is a hot mess IMHO. The old "Mountain West" is the same. Why couldn't they just merge, would it make too much sense?

Has there been a better rise to fame than Cam Ward who started his career at San Antonio's University of the Incarnate Word. Wouldn't have happened without all the new transfer rules, or should I just say no rules regarding transfers. He and Jalen Milroe are the leading Heisman candidates at the moment.

Two teams with proud history's of great QB's have no QB. Notre Dame and Michigan.

Re: ND QB. I hope that this is the end of the one-year transfer portal QB, with the 3 potentially excellent QBs we have waiting in the wings. I'd love to see us get back to "home grown" talent leading the team.
