Season is moving on rapidly. We've got a good Friday Night matchup between Illinois and Nebraska. Both are ranked in the AP Top 25. I don't know much about the Illini but the Huskers have a rising star at QB in the true freshman. Saturday 1. Texas vs ULM Even without Quinn Ewers the Longhorn offense shouldn't miss a beat. 2. Georgia - Bye. Getting ready for another roadie to Alabama they have some things to work on with regards to the offense. 3. Ohio State v Marshall Buckeyes have had a week off to prepare for the Herd so they should be fine! 4. Alabama - Bye Get ready to welcome the Dawgs to Tuscaloosa. 5. Ole Miss vs Ga.Southern Rebs off to a good start and Ga.Southern won't even be a speed bump. 6. Tenn @ Oklahoma This is the game of the week, both are ranked and winning iin Norman is not easy. Vols do have a high powered offense for sure and the Sooners with Brent Venables should be a good test. 7. Missouri vs Vanderbilt The Tigers had to fight for the win vs B.C. but Vandy shouldn't give them any trouble esp at home. 8.Miami @ USF USF gave Alabama a good game, so maybe this will turn out to be much the same. So far Cam Ward has been a huge success in moving from Wazzu to Coral Gables. 9. Oregon - Bye 10. Penn State vs Kent State Man Kent State must be making a ton of money as the football equivalent of the Washington Generals. They just got rolled by Tenn 71-0. Pitt laid 55 on them. Cake walk. Other big games USC @ Michigan USC has a really good QB, Michigan does not. But Michigan does still have a good defense and USC has a questionable one. Could be a really good game Utah @ Oklahoma State a very big game for the B12. Utes are one of the favorites to go to the B12 Championship game. I'm not sure of the status of Cameron Rising for this game. Cowboys also expected to be a team with a shot at the B12CG. CAL @ FSU only thing that makes this interesting is that CAL is undefeated with a road win at Auburn while pre-season top 10 FSU is 0-3. Can CAL make them 0-4 Notre Dame vs Miami Miami is coached by Chuck Martin who was on Kelly's original staff at Notre Dame and has been at Miami for more than 10 years now. They are another one of those solid MAC teams that you'd better not go to sleep on or another disaster will happen. Can Freeman and staff get this Irish team ready to go out and play again like they did against Purdue? Quite a few conference openers on the schedule this weekend
Kind of a perspective on the SEC teams with the toughest schedules hard to see an undefeated team coming out of the SEC and maybe not even a 1 loss team. Texas: - #15 Oklahoma - #2 Georgia - @ #25 Texas A&M Georgia: - @ #4 Alabama - @ #1 Texas - @ #5 Ole Miss - #6 Tennessee Alabama: - #2 Georgia - @ #6 Tennessee - #7 Missouri - @ #16 LSU - @ #15 Oklahoma Ole Miss: - @ #16 LSU - #15 Oklahoma - #2 Georgia Tennessee: - @ #15 Oklahoma - #4 Alabama - @ #2 Georgia Missouri: (Not counting them out to make the SEC Title) - @ #25 Texas A&M - @ #4 Alabama - #15 Oklahoma
Haha! I wonder how old you have to be to recognize the reference or how young to not know who the Washington Generals are/were.
Interesting, how long till most of college football is on PPV? Texas, which rose to No. 1 in the Associated Press poll Sunday for the first time since 2008, will host Louisiana Monroe at 7 p.m. Saturday. But the game will be a streaming exclusive on SEC Network+ and ESPN+, a separate over-the-top subscription service that is not included with ESPN subscriptions through cable, satellite and streaming services such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Fubo. This season, each SEC team will have one football game that streams exclusively on ESPN+.
I saw the Mich St game is on Peacock, have not seen the TUN announcement. That would be a major and quite expensive coup for the streamers
I activated my Peacock account today. If anyone is on active duty, served, or retired, you can opt in for 12 months @ $2.99. Thats a pretty good deal.
Week 3 matchup preview with Marshall. Go Bucks! https://www.vsbnradio.com/post/getting-to-know-the-opponent-they-are-marshall
