Certainly was an interesting week 2!! But it's on to week 3. 1. Georgia @ Kentucky Dawgs on the road for their SEC opener. I expect they will take care of business. Not sure what to think of the Cat's yet this year. 2. Texas vs UTSA ...ho hum, I imagine if they take care of business we'll see Arch in the 4th qtr, at least I hope so!! 3. Ohio State bye (thanks Don) 4. Alabama @ Wisconsin Going to Big 10 country for the first time in a long time, kp will have to research when was the last trip to the Midwest. Badgers aren't a great team but I'll bet they give the Tide a good game, not beat them but a good game. 5. Ole Miss @ Wake Forrest. The Ghost of Sam Hartman won't be playing for the Demon Deacons, and they have already lost to UVA, so Jaxson Dart will probably put up Hartan like numbers on them. 6. Missouri vs Boston College Might be a pretty good game, I'm not a fan of Bill O'Brien from his tenure with the Texans but he seems to be off to a good start with the new gig. Doubt if he can muster a win here, but again might be a good game. Another SEC team who is way out of the South. It's like Corey has made up the schedule. 7. Tenn vs Kent State Vols are off to a very hot start and scoring a high rate, they might hit a hundred on Kent State if they wanted, a mediocre Pitt team layed 55 on them last week. 8. Penn State ..off this week after their narrow win last week over MAC team BGSU. 9. Oregon @ Oregon State Both teams are undefeated, Oregon has just squeaked by both of it's opponents while the Beavers have 2 solid wins. This will be a good game and I don't think anybody will be surprised if the Ducks lose in Corvallis. 10. Miami vs Ball State The Hurricanes are rapidly moving up, Cam Ward doing the same, he's vying with Ewers right now for the lead in the Heisman race. I expect that Miami will run up the score if they can to help Ward get more recognition. Other big games. Notre Dame @ Purdue Before the season we'd have all said this would be a walk over for the Irish, but now most fans are in turmoil over that loss to NIU and fear that Purdue will beat us. They have a good QB in Hudson Card and they play an unusual defense apparently from what I read which will likely give our young OL fits. I'm holding my breath on this one and hope we can get the win and start to recover from the NIU disaster. LSU @ South Carolina LSU seems to be in a bit of turmoil since the USC loss and Brian Kelly can't seem to keep his mouth shut. So.Carolina had a great game vs Kentucky. But that LSU QB is really good and I expect LSU to win but it might be a very close game. Tulane @ OU OU couldn't put up many points last week vs Houston so I am suspicous of their offense. This might be another closer than OU fans want win. A&M@ Florida Both teams really need this win. Both teams got some relief by playing a cup cake last weekend after disappointing opening games. I'd say the Gators need the win more than the Aggies, but I think the Aggies are the better team and the Gators have a true (really good) freshman at QB and that could be a problem agains the A&M defense. Washington State @ Washington The Apple Cup lives! Both teams are 2-0 , but Wazzu has an actual win over a Power 4 team. Could be a really good game here. Northern Iowa @ Nebraska Can the Huskers avoid the mental lapse and not be ready to play, I think Matt Rhule knows what he's doing and the Huskers will roll'em. UCF @ TCU Actually a pretty big B12 matchup as both are considered contenders for the B12 Title game. Both are undefeated and neither has played a team that challenged them. So we'll have to wait and see. Good luck men!
Florida vs Texas A@M Napier plans on using both QB's. Me, although I would feel for Mertz I believe Lagway is our future if he stays at Florida. Mertz is gone after this season either way. So regardless about my sympathy with Mertz I think we should go with Lagway.
Terry, I’m not sure when Alabama last ventured to the Midwest but I do know that Alabama had better execute much better this week than they did last week. Turnovers and penalties nearly cost us the game last week. Wisconsin is a better team than USF and we can’t make those kinds of mistakes.

Terry, to the best of my memory, regular season games between B10 and SEC schools were very rare other than KyvInd. Georgia visited AA in the mid 1960’s and M traveled south to play South Carolina in the mid 80’s but SC was not part of the SEC back then. I think Bill Curry was the coach when Alabama traveled to South Bend. Clearly, during the Saban era, I doubt if any B10 AD was eager to schedule a regular season match up with Alabama. There was supposed to be a home and home series between MSU and Alabama but that ended up being cancelled though not sure who cancelled. M was supposed to have a home and home against Arkansas that M cancelled.
Bob, Alabama played a home and home in 2010 and 2011 with Penn State. As listed above Alabama played Michigan and Wisconsin in the last 10-12 years.
KP I Agree. I was thinking more of the classic home and home series . Other than Ky/Ind and the PSU/Ala series in 11-12, one rarely sees B10/SEC schedule home and home games against each other. So, if Alabama is being chided for not traveling north, the same could be said of every SEC team and of every B10 teams not traveling south.

I recall being at a ND-Alabama game in South Bend, which ND won, so I looked it up. They played at ND in 1976, won by ND, and in 1986, won by Alabama. I was at the 1976 game.
Kalen DeBoer's first road game as Bama head coach is a unique one. By my count, Alabama has played only one of the original Big Ten teams in that team's home stadium. It was also Wisconsin, and it was 96 years ago.
Terry, how many original Big Ten teams have played in Tuscaloosa? Oh yeah you can include Legion Field in Birmingham in that total.
