I’m hearing the ND will be starting construction on a new football facility in a few months. Supposedly $100 million range.

Even though the Blue and Gold game is usually a disappointment for me I’m still looking forward to it.

Spring game yesterday had it's positives and negatives. Good thing was that nobody got hurt as far as I know. Young OL had it's struggles, defense looked great. Offense was good in spots. To me CJ Carr really looked like he will be the starter in 2025.

Weather was fine and they announced an attendance of almost 40k.

Hopefully we get Riley Leonard, Ben Morrison and Mitchel Evans back at 100% for Fall Camp.

Terry I agree with you about Carr. Liked his poise. I thought for the most part he threw well. It seemed to me that we had a lot of drops yesterday of well throw passes.

I wasn't able to see the game, but 40,000 is a high number for an ND spring game on a good weather day. Given how chilly it was, it's a great number.

Well a little bit of sunshine for the Irish baseball team which is not very good, but B.C. is not very good either.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame (20-18, 5-16 ACC) dealt a combined no-hitter to earn a series sweep of Boston College (20-19, 7-14) with a dominant 13-0, seven-inning run-rule victory Sunday. In addition to the no-hitter, Irish bats were responsible for five home runs on the day, including two from INF Estevan Moreno.

The combined no-hitter marked Notre Dame’s first no-hitter (combined or solo) since Brian Piotrowicz on May 11, 1988 vs. Ball State (also seven innings).

I watched the full replay. Like Tim, I thought both sides looked pretty good. For me, the close score is an indication of quality depth, but as far as our prospects for the 2024 season, I'll refrain from making any predictions. :)

One thing for sure is that we have a strong RB room and don't need him.

I see that Micha Bell has entered the portal.

No rumblings that Freeman is looking for any additional portal kids at this point.

From what I am reading there isn't one of those in the Portal. At least not one who could step into the LT over Charles Jagusah.

I wonder if they are looking for CB, given Micha Bell and Clarence Lewis have recently entered the Portal.

Irish men (lacrosse) completed the regular season at UVA with a win, the Irish ladies (lacrosse) lost in the semi-finals of the ACC Tournament to BC. Both teams will be in the NCAA tournament. The Irish men will be the #1 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 1 Fighting Irish capped off the regular season with an impressive 11-9 victory over No. 6/5 Virginia at Klockner Stadium in front of a packed crowd on Saturday afternoon. The win gives Notre Dame a record of 10-1 on the season and marks the second unbeaten regular-season ACC record in program history.

Pat Kavanagh had four points in the win, off two goals and two assists, setting the all-time career points record at Notre Dame with 274. The graduate student passed Randy Colley’s mark of 273, which was set in the 1995 season.

Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep Top 100 defensive back Dallas Golden has committed to the University of Notre Dame. The 6-0, 175-pounder from the class of 2025 chose the Fighting Irish over a group that included Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Florida, Michigan, and many others.

In the way too early category, Irish women are a #1 seed in the first bracketology for 2025, along with South Carolina, UCONN and USC.

Irish women's basketball fans are a bit distressed though that Coach Ivey hasn't picked up any Portal players as yet. Most wanted her to pick up a big to replace the likely loss of Kylie Watson who is having ACL surgery and not reasonably expected to play. They do get the top freshman big in Kate Koval but she's a freshman. They also lost Nat Marshall to the Portal who filled in admirably for Watson when needed.

We've had several punters from Australia at A&M... they breed some strong legs down there, and from the looks of that guy I wouldn't want to break loose on a kick and run into him!

Yeah those guys are usually pretty stout athletes having played Australian rules football.

I hope he's a good one, I was just shocked to see our punter hit the Portal. I assume that NIL played a part and maybe he just wanted to play closer to home as he was from North Carolina.

We lost a good punter to LSU who wanted his parents who lived in Alabama to have an easier time getting to his games. He did get his ND degree.
