I watched the game. Close all the way until toward the end. The Buckeyes outplayed the Boilers.

In the midst of all the (expected) posts regarding how we sucked and need to make a change in our starting five and here we go again stuff (also some positive ones that road games in the B1G are tough and this was kind of a trap game....

There were a lot (tons) of posts on the Purdue Boards complimenting OSU authorities for handling the crowd and the rushing of the floor in a much safer manner allowing the players to shake hands and get off the floor properly. We've had a couple scary ones the past 3 years.

And I quote from just one:

"In the last seconds of the game and when our loss was eminent, I thought Uhgg! the student body is going to storm the floor again. They did!…BUT did you guys notice that a human chain of authorities blocked them from intermingling with the ball players and staffs? It appeared that this enabled the teams to shake hands and get off the floor without being hurt. Thank you to whoever is in charge at Ohio State. Other Universities need to take note."

Do fans ever rush a baseball field? Football and basketball yes, baseball?

Re: rushing a baseball field. I've never seen it. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I'd think it'd be news if it had.

Re: OSU-Purdue. I noticed what Stu described re: "rushing" the floor. It didn't seem like rushing. It was surprisingly orderly.

Sometime a little advance planning goes a long way. Congratulations to staff for a job well done. In all fairness to the Iowa women's game, No one really expected the Buckeyes to win that one and little or no planning if it happened? The result was embarrassing.

Big game for Houston at home vs Iowa State. They are #6in the AP.

CJ Stroud must be a big Cougars fan as he's in the stands tonight and was at the Texas game on Saturday.

If not, he should be. Being a Butler fan, I'd like to see him gone from Creighton. :D

Coach Deibler is from a long line of basketball coaches here in Ohio. I am very anxious to see the results of the remaining games. He probably will be a long shot to be hired as the new coach, but a good, honest basketball family with strong Ohio roots. I certainly wish him well.

Indiana is running Iowa out of the gym in Bloomington. They are letting Clark get hers but the rest of the Hawkeyes are being held in check.
Sellout crowd of course since Clark is there

I'm pretty sure all IU women's home games this season have sold out.

Sellouts certainly happen when ever Clark shows up

Iowa made a couple of runs but never could get over the hump and Clark was off in the 2nd half.

    Big win for the Hoosiers

2 big games today in the B12. Houston travels to Waco to play a dangerous Baylor squad and Texas travels to KU for it's likely last game ever in legendary Allen Fieldhouse where they haven't had much luck over the years. Cougars are in a good position and a loss won't hurt them.

Was golfing so missed the Houston/Baylor game but I see it went to OT so it must have been good.

I did get home in time to watch the end of the Wake Forrest upset of Duke, it was a terrific finish. I thought it might go to OT when Wake guard had a breakaway late and decided to try for a long ally oop..and missed. Should have just worked the clock and the ball but then the game ended with Duke losing the ball bringing it up to try to get a tie and force OT, clock expired.

Of course the Wake fans stormed the court!
