Their Libero is from Roncalli HS in Indy. I have a granddaughter in VB, hence I paid attention. I thought it would be a tough match. Never saw the shutout coming. Terry, re: McCord, I think I saw the same thing you did but can't remember where. I also thought he was headed to Nebraska until BT confirmed the strong interest in Cuse.
Looks like the Pac2 have sorted out their futures for now. This makes a lot of sense to me. Oregon State and Washington State are nearing an agreement to join the West Coast Conference as affiliate members next year in multiple sports, most notably men's and women's basketball, sources told ESPN, confirming multiple reports. It is an agreement similar to the one the schools reached with the Mountain West to play six football games against MW teams next year but with a major difference. While the Beavers' and Cougars' games against MW schools in football will not count toward the conference standings, there is an expectation their games will count toward the standings for other sports in the WCC. They are also expected to be eligible to participate in conference tournaments and eligible to represent the WCC in NCAA championship events. Sources: WSU, OSU near affiliate deal with WCC
I wonder when this drama will end? Michigan has received a notice of allegations from the NCAA regarding alleged violations by the football staff during the COVID-19 recruiting dead period, two university officials told ESPN. According to sources, Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh faces a Level I violation for allegedly not cooperating with or misleading NCAA investigators about the alleged violations, and Michigan also faces four Level II violations, which are considered less serious. Michigan in August self-imposed a three-game suspension for Harbaugh to begin the season as well as a one-game suspension for offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore as part of a negotiated resolution for his involvement. This Husker lass has confidence in herself and her team!! TAMPA, Fla. -- You need confidence to be a Division I starter as a freshman for one of the best programs in your sport. So it's no surprise Nebraska freshman outside hitter Harper Murray didn't hesitate when asked about how the Huskers would respond to being swept by Texas in Sunday's NCAA women's volleyball final. "I think we're going to win three national championships the next three years," Murray said. The Huskers, who fell short of earning the program's sixth title Sunday, have no seniors. After finishing this season 33-2, it won't be a surprise to see them start next season ranked No. 1.
FSU is again making noise about leaving the ACC. The grant of rights agreement is a huge mountain to overcome and I imagine a multiyear court battle will be necessary. The agreement was designed to be a big poison pill after Maryland easily left the ACC for the Big 10, so it's not likely that there are any loopholes. They have been griping about the ACC for more than a year and threatening to leave, the CFP snub seems to have just fired them up to give it go. If they some how break that contract most feel that the ACC will implode as there are 6 or 7 other teams are eager to leave as well. Of course my question is where? It would seem that the Big 10 and SEC are already so big as to be unwieldy, why would they want more expansion.
It's official, the FSU BOT has voted to file a lawsuit against the ACC challenging their fee's for leaving the league.
This article says 2 things. 1. Harbaugh has been offered a big extension but he has to agree in writing to not pursue NFL jobs. He has not yet signed the offer. 2. If Harbaugh leaves for the NFL ( Chargers are the team) then then Brian Kelly would leave LSU for that job if offered. Brian Kelly rumors: LSU insider says Tigers coach would leave for potential Big Ten opening
I posted the "funny" emoji above because I think it's funny that Brian Kelly seems to be a highly desirable coach. And I thought when he left that we finally had been relieved of a slightly above average coach. Shows what little I know.
I see that the backup QB for FSU decided to go to the Portal. He participated in the team practices up till now. I guess he decided that FSU looking for a portal QB in Cam Ward or DJ can't spell his name from Clemson / Oregon State was the last straw.
Can I say I totally hate the portal, it’s free agency but never mentioned. And yeah I’m old school evidently. Let’s sing the school anthem in the corner of the stadium, hopefully all of you know it much less respect it.
Here's a version for ya Ralphy boy, O'say can you see...the gender neutral bathroom that I pee...so proudly I sat, when I could have shook it so free...
Saban not trusting that Harbaugh/Michigan aren't still doing everything they can to steal Alabama signs. As Michigan has been accused of stealing opponents' signals this season, opponents have changed their in-game signs and the way they communicate them as well. Alabama appears to have instructed its players to not only avoid using their iPads for film study, but as McClellan explained, the team isn't uploading practice film to their devices anymore, instead keeping it in the main computer system for players to watch with their position groups while at the practice facility. "We just have to go to a different location to watch film, but we're all watching the film as we normally would for a normal game," offensive lineman Tyler Booker said. "It could be a connection because the way the film is setup with the server. All that we know is that we have to go out and treat the preparation like any other game." Tide take precautions over sign-stealing scandal
Michigan says it hasn't watched film on iPads since November: 'Caught wind of things that could be going on'
