well kp said strange things happen at Auburn. Auburn drives the field easily on Bama defense and it's 7-7
2 TD's by Tide called back due to penalties. Milroe probably could have scored if he'd not thrown the pass.
This game is way different than I thought it would be. After the 1st score, Milroe and the offense were so efficient I thought the Tide would hang 30 on them in the 1st half. Now not only did that not happen but Auburn has broken some big runs on them and it's 14-10 right before the half.
Looks like the Longhorns will have to face Oklahoma again in the B12 Championship game. BYU is hammering Oklahoma State 24-0 late in the 2nd qtr. I was kind of hoping that they would win and we'd avoid playing OU again.
geez did Auburn play all walk-ons last week? Or is the Tide defense not as good as I thought it was? 21=20 Auburn after an easy score.
If you are a Tide fan, like kp, all you can say is "whew". The fumbled fair catch was the key to the game. If the kid catches it Auburn maybe runs out the clock or runs so much time that the Tide has little time left to score.
You got your wish Terry. Auburn’s last two losses at home to Alabama are two of the most unfathomable defeats I can recall. Some Bama fan must have sold his soul to Satan to get those wins.
Boy Washington just barely got by Wazzu winning by a FG at the end. Louisville gets beat by Kentucky Gators are up on FSU 12-7 at the half.
Florida gave the game away with two boneheaded personal fouls. The first - a spitting penalty by a defensive lineman- led to FSU’s 1st TD. The second - a targeting penalty on a sliding QB on 3rd down when the QB was several yards short of a 1st down—led to FSU’s clinching TD. Can’t imagine how frustrated Bill must be watching the Gators blow a chance to upset FSU.
Well Oklahoma State found a way to comeback and force OT with BYU and win, so instead of having to face OU again, we get to face Oklahoma State again. We'll certainly be favored and should win. Didn't see any of the Gators/FSU game but Boda's description sounds right on from what I read. No bowl and a losing season for the Gators. I imagine it will strain the patience of the powers that be at UF to keep the faith that Billy Napier is the man. Watching the 4th qtr of the Iowa State/KState game being played in the snow. Tied right now at 35 early 4th qtr.
If so, while he's done a good job at Kentucky it's hardly a homerun hire it would seem. Kentucky has had some good teams for sure, but nothing really outstanding. Of course he will have way more money to spend on recruiting and staff and the facilities are second to none in College Station. But he's been successful with Kentucky resources in the SEC so I guess you can extrapolate that give him A&M resources he could become elite.
If FSU beats Louisville next week and Ala beats Georgia, playoff chaos will ensue. I am assuming M will beat Iowa. Under that scenario, M and FSU are likely in as undefeated teams and you would have the winner of Ore/W, Texas, and Ala and Georgia fighting for the 2 remaining spots. If Ga and Washington win, they are obviously in as undefeated teams. Cards will have a lot of teams rooting for them next week.
