No surprise here. Harbaugh and the university, however, requested a temporary restraining order in Washtenaw County Trial Court on Friday night. They filed an emergency ex parte motion, which if granted, would give the judge the ability to stop Harbaugh's suspension before hearing arguments from the defendants -- the Big Ten Conference and commissioner Tony Petitti. The judge could rule on the restraining order before the No. 3 Wolverines' critical road game against No. 10 Penn State (8-1) on Saturday at noon. Michigan's plane landed in Pennsylvania on Friday afternoon, shortly before the suspension was announced.
While waiting for the decision, can Harbaugh FaceTime with the assistant on the sidelines from the hotel then?
I have 5 games for the contest I struggled with all week to pick. One of them being Iowa and Rutgers. Who'd you go with Bobda?
So Stalions had to be passing the decoded signals to the Michigan playcallers. I wonder why the Big 10 didn't suspend or sanction in some way the playcallers? They had to know what's going on. This doesn't make much sense to me.
This will also be an interesting game in that this is the first ranked team that Michigan has played.
I just heard on ESPNU that Harbaugh will not coach today, somebody said didn't matter as long as James Franklin was on the other sideline!
Seems to me suspending Harbaugh will only increase M's efficiency. Now they don't have to worry about plausible deniability, and can use the stolen signs straight up.
17-9 M middle of the 4th. M’s defense has been outstanding but M’s offense has turtled attempting only 1 pass in the 2nd half.
That PSU offense is just terrible, Allar is not accurate even on short throws. He's been a no show in the biggest games of the year. Of course maybe he's not getting much help from his OCoord and HC? And of course you have to credit the UM defense for some of that. UM offense was extremely conservative to say the least. They threw only 8 passes and didn't reach 300 yards total offense. I have to assume that was by design based on their confidence in their defense and running bame and not wanting to give the PSU defense which leads the nation in sacks a chance to influence the game. Clearly there is no delay on the post game interviews as the Interim HC besides crying, unleashed some 4 letter words. I struggle with UM portraying themselves as some sort of victim though.
Congrats on the big win kp, I didn't watch of course but looking at the stats, Milroe had another great game and maybe he's arrived as a big time QB. I'm glad to see your offense improve, not because I'm an Alabama fan although I've come to grudginly admire Saban, but I've always liked Tommy Rees and hope he does well for you guys.
Terry, Rees has done a good job this year. I think his real challenge was to be patient with Milroe and scale the offense to his abilities. Our defense has actually been the constant. Really good game today although we did have a couple of turnovers.
